I wanted a clamp to attach a light to my tripod. This is a very nice clamp. It feels solid and of decent construction. The ball/socket mechanism works very well, each joint can be set at 90 degrees. The ball joints have a single tightening mechanism, it tightens the clamp side first allowing you to set the placement exactly where you want it, then it lock in the other side. The clamp at its most closed position is 0.63", so whatever you are clamping to must be larger than that in diameter. The Largest it opens is 1.4" so that would be the maximum diameter (without taking things apart). The phone mount has to mount holes, one on the end and in the middle. The phone mount in its shortest is 2.1" wide and as wide as 4.0". It is not a spring loaded phone mount, you twist a knob to tighten it. This was well thought out and very useful. no complaints.

This clamp holds well to an arm but there is only one tightening thread for both top and bottom of the mount. you cannot loosen just the top or just the bottom to make adjustments. I need to find a better one that has two tightening threads.

The media could not be loaded. This clamp mount allows you to clamp any device with a 1/4-20 port to an object between 0.7"-1.6" in size. It works best with cylindrical objects (poles, handlebars, etc) but will grip rectangular objects (shelves, square supports, etc...) as well. The griper itself has a rubber surface to get good friction and not mar your surface. The gripper and camera mount each have a ball joint connected by an arm that is clamped with a knob. When you loosen the arm you can rotate both sides to adjust their relative position and angle to angle your camera in just about any position. It includes a clamping cell phone mount, as well as a GoPro style adapter if your device does not have a 1/4-20 port to screw into. The hardware is strong plastic and stainless steel / brass fittings (with the exception of the lead-screw in the cell phone adapter, which appears to be steel). It provides a lot of value at this price point and is a good deal.
