We recently laid LVP flooring which made the stairs a problem for our older dog. We used this product with braided rug stair treads. It is terrific. Holds these treads (treads have no backing, slide easily on flooring) firmly in place. I want to address an issue I've read several times. The tape does not seem to stick to the carpet at all. True, and I was freaked out for a minute or two. Luckily, I decided to test it on a step. You can lift the carpet UP easily, HOWEVER there's no budgement left to right / front to back. Much like non-slip padding only this stuff holds the treads in place much better. We see no movement. Which, of course, is essential for a stair tread. Our dog really put this through a test and the treads are staying perfectly in place. I am very pleased with how well this works. ... show more

We have stair treads because our dog always slips going up and down the stairs. They were always great for the dog, but were less great for people. They were always moving and being kicked out of place. Got these pads and the treads have largely stayed in place, even with movers walking up and down the stairs. They don't seem all that sticky, but keep the rug in place. They're easy to install and also to remove and don't leave any residue (at least in the 4 months we've had them). ... show more

    • AMAZING GRIPS
After trying and failing with double-backed tape, I was a bit skeptical about this product. But I was pleasantly surprised. With our braided stair mats, the application was simple, and the adhesion is terrific. We've had them on about 4 months with no signs of slipping or coming loose.

    • Great for keeping the carpet treads in place
I used this product to keep carpet treads in place on hardwood stairs. They have been down for A few months. They have been vacuumed, mapped around, and have stood up to abuse from a family of four and a dog going up and down all day. Would highly recommend.
