First off, I wasn’t expecting to like this case as much as I do for the money I spent. I definitely believe that you get what you pay for. I saw mostly positive reviews, and was in need of something different so I went with this particular case. What drew me to this one in particular was the two tone border on the back. It looked different from every hybrid case out there. The back is clear and I can see my phone in all its pacific blue glory. The corners are rounded on the outside which is aesthetically pleasing and flat on the sides like the phone for a nice grip. The bezel material has a nice soft, velvety touch to it and is not too slippery. This case is rated to military standards for drop protection and should give adequately for a short drop. The back is supposed to be scratch resistant and there’s lips all around the front and back of the phone so when you lay it down it protects the screen and cameras. It works well with my glass screen protector so no problems there. I read some negative about the buttons and I can honestly saw they are easy to press and have a nice feeling to them. Not too clicky, but not mushy either. Only time will tell for durability as I haven’t had the case long. The case seems sturdy and not flimsy at all like other cases at this price point. I have never tried anything from Supcase in the past but I have to say aesthetically I like this better than anything I’ve ever purchased for any of my phones over the years, and that’s saying a lot. Supcase has a new customer for life. Very well done!! So if you’re looking for a new hybrid case for your iPhone 12 this hits it out of the park, and I am very fussy, so take my word! One last thing I hate cases that are fingerprint magnets and this case is not one of them. You may have to occasionally wipe the back, but this one is great at resisting oily fingers. 10/10 Hope this review helps. I’ll update as I use the phone for durability. For $12.99 can’t go wrong.     • Great case without being too bulky

This is not the thinnest case out there by any means, but it's clean and only bulkier where it needs to be. This is my second of this case (first for iphone 11 pro max, now for 12 pro max). It feels very high quality, really nice. The clear back is crystal clear and scratch resistant. I don't have any problems pushing the volume or power buttons. That could be because the ultra thin shell type case I had on it before made the buttons pretty much unpushable. I don't think the button thing it's remotely enough to not buy this case, although it reading about that in other reviews did make me hesitate a bit. Super happy with this case! It's the second best iphone case on the market IMO (the first best company doesn't make one for 12 pro max yet, not sure if they'll ever get around to it at all)! ... show more

First off, this review is specifically for the clear version of this case. I don't know if my complaint also applies to the black version as well. I really want to love this case. I love the look and feel of it, and how it accentuates the classy and stylish look of the new iphone 12 pro Max. The sides are as flat as they can be for a case with slightly bulging corners for the added drop protection. Those edges have these micro dots that provide a bit of a matte finish to the super shiny frame on the 12 Pro Max, which I really like because it goes well with the matte look on the back. The quality and finish of this case is so good, there is not a single rough edge that I can find. The materials are very clean, clear and reflective that it almost looks like glass. It feels so good in the hand and the shape of the edges gives me a very good grip on the phone. Display and camera protection is also top notch. However, I was really saddened when after installing the case, I realized that the buttons (both power and volume buttons) are super stiff! So stiff to the point that I had to use my nails to trigger the buttons. Oddly, sometimes one of the volume buttons would be partially pushed by the case that me pressing the power button triggers a screenshot. But 99% of the time, I would have a really hard time increasing or decreasing the volume, or turning off and on the screen. It got so annoying, I took the case off and investigated why it is so hard to press. I thought I might have installed the case improperly. In my frustration, I pressed one of the volume buttons with my nail too hard, and the button popped off and I lost it! I was surprised that it came completely off. I thought that the buttons were part of the case, but when I pushed the other one off, I realized they are super hard plastic buttons with tabs to secure themselves onto the case! They are so rigid, I couldn't even squeeze or bent them at all. This explains why the buttons are so damn hard to push! It's fine that they are hard plastic buttons, but the design of the buttons don't allow themselves any play and are nearly permanently stuck to the case! Pushing the buttons without a phone in the case just flexes the sides completely while the buttons don't do anything at all. I managed to put the other button back in the case, but the process was so hard, it goes to show that these buttons don't actually do anything at all! It is sad to see such a beautiful case ruined by poorly designed buttons. I have their case for my previous Pixel 3 XL phone and that case was great, so I know they know how to make a great case. Supcase, if you are reading this, I unfortunately will have to return the case, especially now I've lost a button. If you are going to revise and fix the buttons issue on the clear case, please feel free to reach out to me and inform me of your updated case, and I'll give it a try again. ... show more

These cases are the absolute best cases ive ever owned and used for my iphones. Ive owed 20+ cases and non compare to these cases. Ive dropped a phone from 15 feet up onto concrete and this case keeps the phone protected. Ive had these cases in the last 4 iphones ive owned and have never broken a phone. The level of protection, the price and the sleekness of these cases are better than any other case on the market. They are always perfect fits.
