I didn't know about these little do-hickeys until a friend told me about them. Although I have just received this drainer and am not sure how well it will catch food particles yet, I have to say it really looks nice in the sink. I can't imagine there will be any issues with it but we shall see after my first sink full of dishes. It is very sturdy and feels like a very good quality material. The only draw back is that you can't use it undrt thr sink plug and would have to put it in right after you pull the plug to drain the sink. However, it's not that big of a deal and it looks nice for rinsing dishes prior to washing and catching the food debris so it doesn't go down my sink that does not have a garbage disposal.

Sturdy little buggers that catch the kitchen boogers! They hold up, they dont rust, and they save my disposal from getting to much action. Like a chastity belt for my drainage system. Be kind, and give your sink protection from unwanted protrusions! These are a great product. I would recommend this.

This is a very sturdy sink strainer that does what it supposed to do. I measured it to make sure it was the right size. It was 4". It fits well, it hasn't got gross looking, catches everything-used it for two months so far. Very easy to clean. No problems with it. Good quality.
