I brought this for my trip to Kauai, and I am SO glad I did! My Samsung, in it's case, fit with room to spare! I had zero issues with operating my touch screen, even under the water. I did cliff jump (it was only 15ft above the ocean), case worked marvelous as my phone stayed dry! I also went on ATV excursion, the case was easily wipeable and allowed for great pictures and videos while continuously being doused in muddy water. Cleaned up very easily by dipping it in clean water and couple swishes around. Numerous times this case was underwater during my trip in the ocean and the pool, the neck strap was surprisingly comfortable and when not in use, the case floated on the water. I used the Pelican waterproof case to go snorkeling in the ocean and to go kayaking - both in the Florida summer heat. In the water, the waterproof pouch worked perfectly. No water leaked into the case and it floated with the phone inside. As other reviewers noted, underwater the touch screen doesn't work. i just programmed my phone camera to take a picture using the up volume button. That wasn't easy as the side of the case is padded and underwater it's hard to tell exactly where that little button is. I put my phone in the waterproof case while kayaking just in case I dropped it while trying to take pictures. It's hard to see the screen in sunlight to take pictures in the sunlight but I managed. I was also worried about quality of teh pictures through the plastic screen of the case, but that wasn't a problem either (see attached photo, taken with the case on). The problem comes with the summer sun shining on the plastic case. It heated up so much that my phone went into emergency mode b/c it overheated. So, while it's a good quality case and didn't leak underwater, the case can heat up quite a bit in sunlight and the touch screen is difficult (in sunlight) to impossible (in water) to use. ... show more

I’ve used this near water or at home while taking a bath, but never tried fully submerging it so I’m unsure if it’s 100% air tight. The waterproof material feels good though and no water has gotten into it so far. Fits a normal iphone size. Facial recognition only works about half the time through the clear plastic, but still responsive and easy to click on stuff or type through it. Like having it just in case ... show more

Been using the thing so much lately on my Efoil and Kayak. For the Efoil, i tuck it under my life jacket straps and when i take a dive at 20+ mph’s, my phone has never come up with any water in it throughout the day. This is a solid product! The pouch itself seems good but I am not going to put a lanyard around my neck that does not have a breakaway safety feature. I suppose if you carry a knife on your pfd as some serious kayakers do, it could be used to cut the lanyard if it became stuck on underwater debris, but even that is a stretch.
