This L Plate is pretty light weight, well designed, fits the 5D Mark lll perfectly, looks good, and it only takes a matter of seconds to attach it to the camera for the first time. Conveniently, the mounting screw can be tightened with a screw driver, an allen wrench, which is supplied with this plate, and best of all a coin. Another practical aspect of this products design is that it preserves access to the camera's terminal area. This L plate has not been removed since the day that I mounted it to my camera. It feels solid, and is comfortable to use when hand holding the camera. Also, it mounts easily and quickly to my Arca compatible tripod head in either a vertical or horizontal orientation. This saves invaluable time, especially in situations where "great light" or a "unique scene composition" may present for only moments. Additionally, the centering marks on this L plate are a convenient aid when mounting the camera onto the tripod. Lastly, this product arrived in very nice, solid packaging. There's nothing worse than receiving a damaged product due to poor packaging in combination with rough handling during shipping. In conclusion, I am completely satisfied with the esthetics, practical design, and functionally of this product.

Its one thing to spend a lot for photo accessories you use forever, like tripods and tripod heads. These can truly be said to be lifetime purchases. At the other extreme are digital cameras which, like all electronics and computers are used for 2 or 3 years and then replaced. Unfortunately, mounting plates like this beautifully machined Sunway bracket have to be replaced too, but this Sunway costs half as much as some others yet works just as well. What really surprised me is how finely made this thing is. Made in China, I expected it to be adequate (hopefully) but probably a little rough. Nope. The machining and finish are lovely and the dimensions are precise enough to use with the Really Right Stuff clamps. Most cheaper Arca-Swiss type plates cannot be used with clamp mechanisms because their dimensions are not precise enough, but this plate works flawlessly.

Not as refined as my RRS L plate, but just as effective, a good fit for my RRS lever clamp plates. The cut away for the cable is very useful and better than the RRS version.

I use this with my 5DMIII. To echos the other reviews... this product is priced exactly where something like this should be... at 1/3 to 1/2 of the competition with no compromise in quality. It is made in China but the fit and finish is perfect. The cutouts accommodate my remote cable perfectly. It is lightweight aluminum and I like the center marks. Comes in a nice box with 2 Allen wrenches and the screw. I will definitely look out for this brand when I'm in the market for another L-bracket

Sunwayfoto offers great products at very affordable prices. This L bracket fits perfectly on my Canon 5D Mark 3. The anodized aluminum finish is great, and there are center marks for your convenience. I use a Sirui K-30 ballhead (Arca-Swiss compatible) and this L bracket works without any problem. Also, I use a BlackRapid sling strap with Kirk's QRC-1 Quick Release Clamp, and the whole "system" works great so far. If you don't want to use a clamp for your sling strap, that's fine because the L bracket offers another screw hole on the bottom where you could just screw your sling strap.

Everything is good about this, except if you want to shoot on your tripod vertically, the L-Bracket doesn't slide to make room for you to plug in your cable. The screw to attach the L-bracket is exactly lined up to the factory camera screw mount on the bottom. Since the L-Bracket doesn't have a slot, only an exact hole matching up to the camera, you cannot loosen up the screw and slide the bracket. I thought it would have this from the descriptions of their L-Brackets, but when I got it, was disappointed to find it doesn't work for me because of this. I'm going to sell it and find another one that works more functionally for me.
