First of all, I am not, repeat - NOT, one who writes reviews for products. However, with the wonderful customer service I received, I just had to sing the praises about my experience with the company we purchased it from. Been meaning to order another hammock for several summers now and finally got around to doing it! We were looking for one similar to a friendās weaved hammock that we absolutely loved and this ended up being the closest we could findā¦not too big a weave that lets elbows, feet or other larger body parts poke through and one that could hold a bit of weight (my hubby is a big 6ā linebacker type guy and Iām definitely not what you would call, āpetiteā) but without the rough, rope-like feel. Hammock arrived. Unfortunately, there was something a little strange with the weavingā¦like one strip of it got weaved too tight so it literally felt like you had a perpetual wedgie when you laid down in it. At first we thought we could make do however, the long term wear and tear started to concern me, especially considering that my husband and I arenāt smallish type people, that eventually I decided to call the company to see what we could do to remedy the situation. (I thought maybe soaking it in water and then having my hubby sleep in it overnight to stretch it out would help?) I called during business hours and the customer service rep - not an calling autobot or overseas call in service - kindly listened to my first-world dilemma and offered to ship us out another one, no problem! It had to be shipped out soon after I talked with her because it came within just a few days. So now we have this wonderful hammock that the whole family loves, one that both my husband and I can cuddle up in - without the perpetual wedgie feeling. One side note to all you āKarensā out there or if youāve never owned a weaved hammock before - give your hammock some time to stretch. We have ours on a stand, outside on our deck. So when you first go to set it up, the chain links may not be long enough at first. We had some extra chain links and carrabeaners (sp?) to get it to initially fit on the hammock stand. When you go to sit/lay on it you may almost end up on the ground (or on the ground/bar like my hubby and I did when we first got in it). I promise you, it will be okay (unless you got one with a wedgie weave, then you may need to call customer service). Just give it a few daysā¦.each time you get in the hammock it will stretch, keep shortening the chain link length to your height preference. Weāve had a bit of a crazy year but, I can honestly say, its one of the few things that has given us a reprieve from it all, itās become one of our favorite places to chill this summerā¦a happy place!:-)

First off, hammocking (it should be a legit word) is Ć¼ber, Ć¼ber relaxing. Since I got this thing, itās been outside and in the elements. Itās become a weekly ( sometimes more if Iām being honest) ritual to sign off at work, join my wife out back, and listen to music, audiobooks, nothing at all. This hammock is amazing. Itās really well made and the rope feels like fabric but with actual airflow. I just bought another sunny dayz hammock- lagoon stripes I think. Thereās nothing wrong with this one (Iām laying in it as Iām writing this) except itās faded and bleached- like a favorite hoodie. But as opinions vary on just how attractive a faded hammock is, Iām upgrading. Take better care of it than i did and itāll last forever.

Having had the cotton rope on my previous hammock disintegrate, I decided to go with a poly replacement. It's a sturdy, comfortable hammock but wider and longer than my old one, so it needs to be stretched over the metal stand hooks to avoid sagging. Wish it had come with a pillow.

As the title says, this hammock is so amazingly comfortable and far surpasses all of its predecessors. We have had both rope and fabric hammocks, but the tight weave of this rope, plus how soft it is; there is no comparison. I got it as a gift for my husband and we all have equally enjoyed time in it. I just hope it holds up for some time, because at this price point I'd hate to have to replace it frequently. We are storing it between use to help preserve it for as long as possible.

Iāve owned a rope traditional hammock and a blanket style and this hammock is hands down more comfortable, yet supportive, than either of them. It was a little more trouble to hang. My husband who can easily lift hundreds of pounds couldnāt get it stretched enough for the initial hanging. We purchased a 1 foot length of chain and a link for $5 total. We hung it as tight as we could get it, and then I would lay on it get up and we would readjust. We continued this a few rounds and then let it sit out overnight and the next morning we were able to hang it from the factory installed chains. It holds our combined weight easily. He is 6ā3ā and Iām 5ā11ā and after the stretching it is more than long enough with room to spare. The individual strings arenāt as thick and stuff as traditional hammocks. It makes it have a more delicate soft feel and I donāt get the awkward knots pattern laying on it in shorts.

Strung this up in the yard between a couple of maple trees. Very pleased with the quality and comfort of this hammock. There are lots of birds in the branches above, so it collects a bit of their droppings, but I don't suppose I should deduct a star for this. I just hose it off. I'll buy this again whenever I need another one.
