Always jealous of cat parents whose kitties love to be combed. My cat will hiss and scratch at me when she sees her grooming brush. Additionally, she refuses to let groomers touch her but after months of refusing to be combed, she desperately needed to be de-matted in one area of her coat. Her vet and I ultimately decided that she would need to be sedated in order for the matte to be removed without stressing her out. Then I was recommended this grooming bush. Expectations were neither high or low--I just wanted to explore my options before her appointment to be sedated and groom. I am SO SO SO happy with my purchase. This thing completely combed out her matte within a minute of me opening the thing from the plastic. I am so impressed especially for the price point. It saves me and her the stress of taking her back to the vet. Totally worth it. That said, my cat doesn't like it cuz it does get down pretty deep slightly tugs at her skin. I have a super long hair cat that sheds everywhere. I was skeptical of this rake but it really removes some hair! I start with the wide rake a couple times over to get out the bulk, matts, etc. Then I turn it around to use the finer rake. This thing removes mounds and mounds of hair. My cat looked 10 lbs thinner. Best part is my house is free from tufts of hair all over my furniture / floor for about a week. I've found if I use this ever 5 days it really works best. He likes it too. Just be careful if they have heavy matt / tangles it will pull those & hurt the cat. Mine has an awful matt and we couldn't find anything to comb through it so had to cut it out. But since using this we've not had any more matts. Side note: put a towel down to catch the hair bc it will be everywhere while you're using this! ... show more

Great product. My pal is half Shiba Inu and half Alaskan Huskie. His undercoat is so insanely think that sometimes the wires, on his wire brush would bend. This tool really cuts through the thick coat nicely removing lots of matted-up fur (is that even a word?). Anyway, the hooks aren’t really sharp, per se, as I tried it on my arm first with some considerable pressure. But when you run it through your pet, especially at first, important to remember to go slow and gentle, because as it breaking up those deep tangles, it may pull a bit much on their skin giving them some discomfort. I say this because my do does get a little feisty with the normal brush, I noticed he’s was a bit more annoyed with this tool if I was moving too fast. ... show more

This brush is amazing! My Corgi/Spaniel mix is constantly throwing Corgi glitter with every step she takes. Her glitter forms into tumbleweeds that run from our robot vacuum (Bruce) and hide in the dark recesses until company comes over and then they all roll out at once! This brush helps reduce the amount of hair that she sheds so that Bruce can do his job and vacuum up all of the hair. It's also great for getting out knots and smalls bits of matted fur. Our dog hates being brushed, but tolerates this brush very well with only a small amount of drama like we're trying to kill her. My 9 month old Golden Retriver started shedding like crazy, I tried other brushes but they all failed. Today AI bathed my boy and I used this tool for the 1st time while I was shampooing the dog and I also used it after I dried him up, I got the majority of the shedding hair off by brushing my dog against the hair growth, like magic, now there is almost NO HAIR on my floors!!! I used to vacuum twice a day, I do not have to do this as iften now. My dog did not enjoyed me brushing his tail but the rest of his body was easy! Bought this on a HOPE that it MIGHT help remove the couple of fur mats on my cat - She actually sat still for this procedure (altho' it took a few days) that did the trick! I have used this tool on both cats - One long hair, one short hair and it is AMAZING how much fur is removed from BOTH the girls - This item has surpassed my hope in reducing the amount of fur found on my floors as well as the kitty-girls WANT to be 'brushed' with this tool is GREAT -- WHAT a bargain in SO many ways!! ... show more

My dog is an AussieGolden, so he has a lot of hair. He had several mats along his back and around his ears. I bought this tool praying it would take care of them. I am AMAZED at how it did! It took off so much hair! It ate through those mats like they were nothing. I did a size comparison with my foot- I wear a size 7 in women’s shoes. I highly recommend this to long haired dog owners!! I have a mini Australian Sheperd and he's very afraid of the groomer, but his fur is our of control. I've been buying many brushes and none of them did the job until I found this one. This brush is PERFECT! I do need to go easy as his fur is very dense, but it untangles and remove extra hair perfectly. Every time I brush him I remove TONS of hair (I don't need to vacuum my apartment every day anymore...). It's also perfect to untangle the matting his gets behind his ears (and then prevent it).
