I was a little worried about purchasing a canvas hammock with spreader bars. Up until now, the only hammocks I've used have either been canvas without the bars, so they make more like a banana shape, or rope hammocks with the bars. This type of hammock definitely requires a little more skill and balance than the others because it doesn't envelope you, but after a little practice, it was quite comfortable. However, if you already have difficulty getting into and out of, or staying stable in other hammock types, I'd be wary of this kind. This particular one is a pretty good deal. It shipped quickly and is comfortable. It fits perfectly on my 12 foot hammock stand. (I already had one and did not purchase the stand with the hammock.) The quality is mediocre, as others have mentioned. Mine had a little paint chip off the spreader bar, some uneven stitching, and quite a few long thread ends. But, if you want a really nice one then don't expect to pay this little for it. I've only had it a couple weeks so I can't attest to its durability yet. Someone else mentioned the wind issue, and yes, this thing does catch the wind! On one particularly windy day it ended up dragging my whole hammock stand like a sailboat. So now when it's particularly windy I just go out and unhook one side of it so it no longer acts like a big sail. Overall I would recommend this if you're looking for a comfortable and cheap hammock.

Loved this hammock last summer and fall. Pulled it out of the shed used it two day and when I laid it in on the second day it ripped. It was only me. And I hope to believe I am way under the 450 pound limit. Reached out due to the one year warranty and they sent a replacement the same day. Overall really happy with the hammock and the comfort. Looking forward to spending wonderful spring and summer days in the hammock. Thanks again for standing to your warranty and such a pleasure to work with.

When we first got it it was sturdy and held me and my family (almost 400lbs). When I (150lb) got it out this spring and gently sat in it it started ripping immediately. My only conclusion is that the UV from being outside in a somewhat shady backyard for 7-ish months made it really brittle and weak. At least it broke under the 12 month warranty so the company refunded me, but if these really only last 1 year outside they should say so.

We purchased the Sunny Daze hammock from Lowe's a couple of years ago and needed to replace the hammock. I double checked to make sure that this is still the current version that they are selling. As we did not need to replace the stand, I decided to order here. The replacement hammock colors are beautiful. However, the chains on this did not fit the orignial S-hook to suspend it. The padding is MUCH thinner than what originally came together as a set. I have decided to return this one due to that and that I would need to go and buy new S-hooks to even use it.
