This is a very pretty hammock. The size is ideal, the hardware and construction appear to be excellent. The only reason it didn't get 5 stars is that it's not as heavy weight as the Pauley's Island hammock it replaced and the fabric, while pretty and seemingly durable, is kind of slippery. The first time on the hammock I literally slipped off, luckily in a seated position. I hope as weather takes it's toll, any initial coating on the fabric will degrade a little. While I want the colors to remain as pretty as they are, I don't want feel insecure. Not noted in buying information, the reverse side of this hammock is a beautiful bright royal blue. The only other thing that should be different is the location of the pillow. Hammock designers need to know that, especially with this size of hammock, it's almost impossible to lay that far up on the end, it would be awesome to have the design of the pillow movable maybe with hook and loop tabs. Note: the pillow does button to the hammock, an excellent means of construction. Wish I could have given 4.5 stars. ... show more

I am in love with this hammock! It is super easy to set up in walks right into place. You can also usually adjust it to make it higher. The material is pretty good, but I wouldn’t leave it out in the rain. I think that it has a great value for your money money considering the price of other hammocks. It is very light, but it holds a great amount of weight. Another detail that I love is that you can button the pillow to the hammock so that it doesn’t fall off. I'bve had many hammocks over the years and have taken great care of them, always wintering them in my garage after letting it air dry from the last light fall rain. However, I bot this one in 2022 and it was fine (and beautiful) for the summers of 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025 - 4 summers and they are short here in Washington state. This year it ripped head and foot and I have to throw it away. Shouldn't I get a longer life from a good hammock that I take so much care with???? ... show more

    • Pretty, but short and lacking hooks

Edit- material is also very slippery. Difficult to get on and off safely or re-adjust when lounging. Adults and kids have slipped off this and gotten injured on the hammock stand support underneath. Use with caution. Compared to our other woven weather-resistant hammock we shall see how long this lasts. The material is less strudy and doesn't appear as weather resistant. Colors are as vibrant as shown and we have the one with the long pillow that attaches with the buttons. Where the pillow attaches is below the wooden bar which further shortens the length of hammock space for the user. The real issue though is that we can't actually use it right away. The chains attached to the hammock (as the photos suggest) do not have hooks, while normally this isn't a problem, it's a few inches shorter than say LLBean hammock so the existing chains with hooks on the hammock stand plus the entire length of each chain length at each end of the hammock need to be used and still we are several inches short of connecting with the stand successfully - and that's without any weight on the hammock/not accounting for sag. Unlikely to order from this seller again due to the shortcomings. When I find additional pieces at the hardware store to complete the hammock setup we'll see how long that fabric lasts. ... show more
