  • Great rack for the price
Style Name: Power Rack
I use this rack for basic home gym workout routines and it seems to hold up quite well. It arrived in a beat up box that had a hole in it. Because of this, the fastener back was ripped and washers fell out of it onto the floor near my doorway. Miraculously, I gathered all of the washers and fasteners before I began assembly and they were all accounted for. It took me about 2 hours to assemble. To avoid frustration, you will want to use a 17mm and 18mm socket set and adjustable pliers and throw away the "tools" that come with it. If you have bad eyesight, you'll need to get out the magnifying glass for the assembly instructions. I'm not sure why couldn't they print this on larger paper-stock. Once you have it assembled, I would recommend weighing it down and anchoring to a floor/subfloor if at all possible. Overall, there were no issues with assembly. Everything went together very well; no mismatched holes or stripped screws. There were a few dings and paint scraps on the structure due to the shipping, but after a few months of use, it will have dings and scratches on the paint anyway, so it wasn't a big deal for me. In my opinion, the safety bars feel sturdy. The best feature is the landmine attachment. ... show more

  • Very Good Value and Does What it Needs to
Style Name: Power Rack
It arrived with almost no damage - just a few scratches and dings, which I could care less about. I put this together with my 9 year old kid. It’s pretty easy to assemble, with the exception of the anchors. It’s in my basement with a concrete floor, so a hammer drill is the best tool for that part (no real instructions included for how to put the anchors in). The anchors are necessary if you’re not real careful in re-racking the weight. Major error on my part was not measuring my ceiling height before ordering. I had to install the chin up bar upside down to be able to fit under my short ceiling. It’s not that big of a deal. Other than that, it’s hard to mess up a rack. It seems plenty sturdy and is easy to move the J hooks and spotter arms. Again, these seem plenty solid. 2 more arms to rack weights would have been great. I improvised two more weight holders with some big bolts and nuts (see last picture). I like the pegs for resistance bands, although they could have been placed a little closer to the front so they’re not all directly under the spotter arms. Duh, some need to be over the spotter arms, but having one peg outside the spotter arms would have been nice if you’re being lazy and using the spotter arms for racking SLDLs or RDLs. Overall, it fully meets expectations! Just measure before you buy! ... show more

  • Exceeded my expectations
Style Name: Power Rack
The package arrived in pristine condition. Perhaps they read the negative reviews about poor packaging and made improvements, but I was impressed with how well everything came in. As others mentioned, throw away the tool it comes with. I have a socket set so assembly was a breeze (and I did it solo). If I would have had to use the tool, it actually didn't even fit most nuts properly, so take note! Directions were clear and easy to follow. This stand is just awesome. It is lightweight, but the base is stable enough and I am completely confident in the safety arms, j cups, and pull up bar. I don't plan on bolting it down, but as with any squat stand or power rack that would be preferred. The plate holders did not fit my rouge plates, I emailed them and they sent out the correct ones. Their customer service was responsive and friendly. It did take some time for the correct parts to come on, but I'll blame that on general supply constraints most companies are dealing with. The only other "issue" I have is that given the odd size there are no attachment options. I would love to have a j-cup alternative as I prefer ones with a slope vs the 90 degrees, but that's just preference. Bottom line - you won't find a better budget squat rack than this. I'm very happy with my purchase and will consider Sunny for future products. ... show more

  • Very Sturdy, Amazing Deal
Style Name: Power Rack
I don’t write reviews much, but this deserves one. After reading previous reviews, I decided to give it a try because the price was much lower than other brands and I needed something for my garage gym. This shipping box was torn up but all parts inside were okay. Not the companies fault, but the shipper. So I can see how some came dinged up. The box noted “fragile” yet it looked like it had been through a hurricane. Assembly was fine, and I had my husbands help. You will definitely want to use your own tools if you have them. Instructions were very clear and easy to follow. Once it was all set up, I was VERY surprised. It’s sturdy, doesn’t take up a lot of space and looks awesome. You get SO much more out of this set up for the price compared to Rogue (which I was I was going to purchase) and the quality is honestly better! I love that it comes with the land mine and the spotter arms (which is sold separately on most brands). Overall, this is an awesome setup for an at home gym! ... show more

  • Great for the money!
Style Name: Power Rack
For the money, this has done everything I've asked of it. I bench 300, squat 400, and do lots of pull-ups (I weigh 200). Through all that, it's plenty stable and confidence inspiring, and I don't even have it bolted down. In fact, it's on a stable mat on carpet. The j-hooks and catch bars have no problem with me semi-aggressively dropping 400 lbs on them. Not too bad to assemble, though you'll want to use your own tools. The one weird note is the landmine attachment uses a really big nut and bolt which my little toolset didn't cover, so it took me a sec to get that attached. The one thing I might complain about structurally is that the weight bars seem to have a slight droop/sag to them with 3x45 plates on each side. Aside from that, it is minorly annoying that it's hard to find a second set of j-hooks that are compatible. I wish they would sell theirs separately so that I can have one for bench and one for squats without having to rely on the catch bars. Overall though, very good after a few months of use. ... show more
