I’m very impressed with the SUNLU Rainbow PLA filament. For the price, this filament delivers excellent quality and eye-catching results. The color transitions are smooth and vibrant, making prints look great right off the bed without any post-processing. The filament feeds consistently, prints smoothly, and adheres well with standard PLA settings. I didn’t experience clogging or tangling, and the diameter consistency seems solid throughout the spool. Layers come out clean, and the finished prints have a nice glossy look that really shows off the rainbow gradient. Overall, this is a fantastic value for anyone wanting colorful, reliable PLA without paying a premium. Definitely a great bang for the buck, and I would happily buy it again.

The filament comes neatly wound and prints well out of the box (SUNLU is generally great about this). For the white-to-glow variants you may find success printing with more solid layers or a higher infill percentage (even 100% solid for smaller prints) as this appears to produce a more consistent glow effect. The glow is very bright, especially if charged under sunlight for a little while! NOTE: if you print with 100% infill or have more than 2 solid shell layers, you may want to adjust your flow constant by 3-5%. I had excellent results bringing down the flow constant to 95% of the default setting. I think the additives to make glow in the dark PLA make the extruded filament a little rougher and less viscous in consistency, and the overextrusion was initially noticeable in more solid prints. It may seem wasteful to do so, but printing with 100% infill really does lead to beautifully illuminated parts. The infill pattern/lines can still glow pretty bright but they will be noticeable unless you're clever about hiding them. Wanted to give this 5 stars because the price and performance were great, and I'm not sure if this is a good reason to take off a star, but each color of this glowing PLA filament did require additional tuning of print settings. Perhaps the combination of color and glow in the dark additives just necessitates the extra attention. Either way, it's PLA. They also have glow-in-the-dark PETG, which performs beautifully and may be more suitable if you typically print with PETG.

I frequently use the Sunlu red glow-in-the-dark PLA on my Bambu 3D printers, and the results are fantastic. The filament glows nicely for about one to three minutes after being charged under a light source. One thing to keep in mind is that you'll need to fine-tune your printer settings, as the filament can clog if the temperature isn't just right. Also, if you leave it unused for a few weeks, it can become brittle, so it's best to store it in a dry place and consider using a filament dryer before printing. Overall, it's a great filament with a beautiful glow

I bought this specifically to print my Red Tron identity disc in. It does not fail to impress. As with any glow in the dark filament, leave it out in the sun all day and it will be brighter and last longer. I just charged it for 20seconds in the photo. With exposure low the photo makes it look brighter of course, but the brightness from just a bright flashlight doesn't last long. The dull dim lasts for a while though.

Update: I removed a star, so I'm giving this product 3 stars as of this update. As I said in my original review this filament would get jammed every time the filament changed. As it got toward the end of the spool it got worse. It got jammed mid print, not even during a filament swap. I had to pull apart the hot end, clean out the filament hub, extruder gears, and replace the nozzle. I should have just stopped using it but I needed to finish a print so I did this like 4 more times until the print completed. Pretty frustrating. I don't think the issue is with the AMS Lite, because it was getting clogged on the hot end. Did I get a bad batch? I don't know. Maybe it had more moisture in it towards the end? Again, I don't know. It wasn't acting like it was brittle. I've leaving 3 stars because the prints do finish looking really good and they do glow well. I just don't think this stuff works well for a Bambu A1 printer. Original Review: This filament glows well. I like the bright green color when it's not glowing, and just a few minutes in good sunlight or bright indoor lights it will glow a very bright green. It's actually quite impressive. I have not timed how long it glows in the dark, but it seems to be a reasonable amount of time to enjoy the print. The image I attached is the print glowing right after letting it sit in the sun for a few minutes. (Sorry it's a little blurry, it was hard to get a clear picture of a glowing object in the dark.) My biggest complaint and the reason I rated it 4 stars is because it doesn't work well in the Bambu Lab AMS Lite. Only while swapping between this filament and others the AMS Lite would have a hard time feeding it back into the hot end. There is usually an error message displayed on the printer about the filament getting clogged, or unable to feed properly. It would require a minor manual intervention of pushing the yellow feed button on the AMS Lite and wiggle the filament back and forth, and then hitting "retry" or "resume" on the print. All would be well until it has to change from another filament, back to this one. I've never had this happen with any other filament, wither over 1,000 hours printing on my A1. All that being said, I know glow in the dark filament is a bit abrasive and different than other filaments and this is my first time using it. If you're doing a single color print, I see no reason why this would be an issue for you. I don't have a P1S or X1C with AMS so I have not tested it on that AMS. In a nutshell, it's a great glow in the dark filament in terms of it's glowing capabilities. If somehow the AMS Lite feeding issue could be resolved I'd continue purchasing it.
