Great strength after printing, requires some tweaking to get print parameters dialed in. No tangles, easily mounted on spools as a refill. I tried to do single-color prints as much as possible; my AMS Lite would sometimes struggle to feed at the required rate to keep up with the print head, leading to stuck filament errors and purges. Printing on the external spool eliminated this problem. Has a relatively glossy/shiny appearance, which seems to be expected with many PETG filaments, in my limited experience. I kept losing prints off the bed because the nozzle bumped or caught on seams and edges. Printing with a Bambu A1 with AMS Lite. I found that this SUNLU PETG filament prints best at ~260°C nozzle temp and 65°C bed temp. I also bumped the Z-hop up to about .5-.6mm, to limit unwanted contact at the workpiece between the layers and nozzle during crossovers. Now that I have used most of the 4 kgs, I feel comfortable with it, but I have to admit it was quite frustrating at first, throwing away partial prints and losing time on the printer.

I've been using this SUNLU PETG refill filament on my Bambu Lab P1S and it's been performing excellently. The refill system works seamlessly with the Bambu Lab ecosystem - the spool winding is consistent and feeds smoothly without tangles or snags. Print quality has been outstanding. Layer adhesion is strong, and I'm getting clean, consistent prints with minimal stringing when using the standard PETG profile. The material has good temperature consistency throughout the spool, which is critical for dimensional accuracy on longer prints. The price point makes this an economical choice compared to buying new spools each time, and the refill approach is more environmentally friendly. I've printed functional parts, mechanical components, and prototypes with this filament and it handles everything well. For Bambu Lab users specifically, the refill design integrates perfectly with the AMS system. The filament characteristics match well with the built-in PETG presets, making it essentially plug-and-play. Sunlu has never let me down. It is great filament at a good cost. Print quality is excellent. It sticks to print beds that are properly maintained. I also like the color consistency between spools.

All four colors—Beige, Coffee Brown, Olive Green, and Oak—have a gorgeous, natural look that’s perfect for prints with organic or wood-inspired designs. The finish is clean and consistent, and each spool feeds smoothly without tangles. What really stands out is the print quality. Layer lines are minimal, adhesion is reliable, and the filament handles both detailed models and larger prints with zero issues. I’ve had no stringing or nozzle clogging, and the PLA+ strength is noticeably better than standard PLA.

SUNLU PLA is excellent for quick, draft, prototype kind of prints. It's cheap and fairly easy to deal with. My only issues with SUNLU are: PETG is very stringy (but I'll admit, it can always be a print setting issue, though this is the only filament I have this level of stringiness). The color quality can vary heavily, and is often inconsistent between spools. I can have two spools of "SUNLU Yellow PETG" and you can clearly tell where the old spool ends and the new spool begins. And not like the typical small layer line that you get with filament changes, but a clear color difference. Prints with SUNLU filament are also very weak. I can print an item in SUNLU and print that same item in ANYCUBIC and the SUNLU item will break first, everytime. But SUNLU is cheaper, and again, if you're not needing to withstand forces, it is an excellent filament! My final pet peeve with SUNLU is - not getting what I paid for. I have NEVER had a spool of SUNLU filament actually give me the full 1KG of filament. Not once. We performed an experiment, sacrificing an entire spool of filament (don't worry, it was still used). We removed the inner cardboard spool, and snipped the very end where the adhesive tapes are placed to hold the filament on the spool (you can't use these in your printer because they will clog your nozzle, so they have to be removed either way). And the weight of the filament, as arrived, weighed 981 grams. That's 19 grams of filament you're not getting. But I digress. Again, it's an excellent, cheap alternative filament that can provide ample uses. Just make sure you classify it correctly (a cheap version) and you shouldn't have issues. We only recommend this filament for Prototyping, Support Filament, or Drafting style of prints. We recommend Polymaker for Top End level quality (Pricey), Bambu Labs Filament for Top End level quality (Pricey unless buying 15+ rolls of filament at a time, or with other Bambu Accessories to justify the shipping fees), ANYCUBIC for excellent level quality and best for everyday use (cheap but excellent quality.
