Sunlu makes great filament. I've used hundreds of rolls of it. But this matte pack has just had its 2nd roll of filament that has breaks at random places on the roll. I found 3 breaks in the orange roll, and just found a 2nd in the black roll. It's mostly a pain in the arse to have to mess with the AMS when it breaks, but it's also a waste of filament, and a waste of time on overnight prints that fail and sit that way for 6 hours until I wake up and fix it. ... show more

Breaking down the price, these came out to $10 per roll, which is a great deal considering individual rolls usually cost around $20. There are still colors we haven’t even used yet and in hindsight I might have chosen a bulk black and white instead because we used so much of that. As for print quality, we’re very impressed—everything printed smoothly, and the matte finish, in my opinion, made the prints look more high-end. This was my first filament, so I don’t have anything to compare it to, but I’m honestly hesitant to try another brand because the print quality was so good.
