Maybe I’m a little biased here—after all, Azure is my favorite color, and this translucent material is basically the Beyoncé of filament. Everything I create with it looks amazing, like it’s been blessed by the 3D printing gods themselves. But what really surprised me was the strength of this stuff compared to standard PLA. It’s like PLA went to the gym, got ripped, and came back translucent. The spool? Neatly wound, like it was rolled by a perfectionist with OCD. The color? Chef’s kiss. Now, I’m off to check out this brand’s other colors to see if they can live up to the high bar set by Azure. Fingers crossed they’re just as strong, vibrant, and spool-neat. If not, well, I’ll just keep printing in Azure and pretending I’m not playing favorites. ... show more

    • This Filament Actively Hates Being a Filament

don’t usually leave reviews, but this spool of Transparent Blue PLA has personally wronged me. This is, without exaggeration, the worst filament I have ever used. It does not adhere to the bed. It does not adhere to itself. It does not adhere to reality. I have dried it. I have not dried it. I have begged it. I have threatened it. Nothing works. Clogs? Oh yes. Constant clogs. The kind that make you question your nozzle, your hotend, your slicer settings, your printer, and eventually your life choices. I’ve had smoother extrusion trying to squeeze toothpaste through a coffee stirrer. The most impressive part? I couldn’t even waste it on a throwaway model. I specifically tried to burn through the remaining 800+ grams on a sacrificial print that I fully expected to fail. And it still found new, creative ways to fail harder. Stringing, under-extrusion, blobs, gaps, adhesion issues—all in the same print. Truly ambitious. I’ve successfully printed with cheap PLA, old PLA, wet PLA, questionable PLA from the back of a drawer, and filament that probably predates electricity. This spool? Absolutely not. It refuses to cooperate in any state of matter. I’m giving it one star because Amazon won’t let me give zero. At this point, the remaining filament will be repurposed as a desk ornament. Buy this only if you enjoy suffering or need a stress test for your printer and your patience. ... show more
