  • Clear PLA is also pretty much the best PLA
Color: 1000g-pla Transparent Size: 1KG
**Update** I have a recent lightsaber project I'm putting together for my friend and tried out the silver PLA, and once again got pretty impressive results. Didn't need to do anything crazy, standard 200/60 temps and a PEI steel sheet to print on top of. The results came out really clean and I'm really pleased. Based on this I can vouch for the basic color blends as well as the clear.** If you're looking for a clear PLA that can print like glass, this one gives pretty good results. You will have to tweak your printer settings and use 100% infill in order to get there- consult youtube and websites like printables for more info. Some experimentation is probably necessary for this. What I really wanted to talk about is how good this specific blend of PLA is to print compared to most other PLAs I've ever tried. This material is not only strong (bending in the "weak direction" perpendicular to the layers this is only mildly less strong than certain tough PLA+ blends), but most importantly it prints with a consistency that outclasses most other PLAs I've tried. There are two prints specifically that highlight how good this material is for intricate or tough to print structures. A print in place MicroSD box (a popular design on thingiverse and printables), and a replica rollcage. You will notice on these websites that the PIP MicroSD box is extremely hard to print, with many people unable to get the arms to move because they've fused or are dimensionally inaccurate. I had this problem while trying my vast array of Flashforge, Inland, Creality and other filaments, but the one that did work on the first try with zero fuss and no fiddling on my ender 3 V2 was the Sunlu Clear. After printing with default no tweak printer settings, it just worked with the arms freely moving after I popped it off the bed. Similarly, I've had a heck of a time trying to print the rollcage design with other filaments, and even with Cura's revised tree supports they did not come out right. The vertical bars sometimes messed up and either failed completely or looked saggy or goopy. Frustrated after several hours of trying different settings and in particular wasted PLA, I took out the Sunlu Clear and it printed first try, and in fact it probably didn't need any supports at all except for the rear horizontal bars. Basically perfect out of the box. I never had to do anything crazy to print this material, just set the printer to 200 deg F and the bed to 60 deg bog standard settings and just let it go. I have to assume that this is likely because the clear contains less fillers than any colored blend. Regardless, if you are looking to print some complex and tough models, I would recommend giving this a try. ... show more

  • Amazing filament for the $$
Color: 1kg Pla Silver Size: 1KG
Rock solid filament for the price. Love the plastic spool rolls and the reusability of them. Colors are always on point and overall this brand of filament just prints great!

  • Impressive adhesion and quality prints
Color: 1000g Pla Black Size: 1KG
The filament came in sealed tightly in vacume sealed package, thightly set on the spool. The print quality with Bamboo A1 is great, even at the highest draft setting. I designed and printed few tiny cable management fitments with only few layers of this PLA and it seems both flexible and solid. I printed few cable modem brackets for mouting and they are solid. Great product so far. ... show more

  • Ok, but most spools in the pack are not wound properly and get stuck when printing.
Color: 4000g Pla Black+black+black+black Size: 4KG
Once these spools print, the outcome is fine. However, with the past 5 orders of this filament, at least 2 or 3 spools are wound incorrectly. The spools seem to be wound up and loaded all on the one side of the spool so the printer always gets stuck. Instead of the spools being wound left to right and back again, these are wound all to the right side (facing the spool) and the printer keeps getting stuck. When I get an overloaded message from my Bambu P1s or a message telling me the filament failed to feed, it is always because the filament is stuck on this one side - always. Please check your winding of the filament, unless this is why they are about $11 per spool. My printer always gets stuck with these spools and probably 1 in the pack is ok. The other are not ok and always need to be unstuck on that one side. It's no different than filling a sewing machine bobbin - if the machine only loads to one side and not back across throughout the spool, the machine will get stuck. This is what happens with these spools too. I hope this is not the reason these are "affordable". Please fix the winding of the filament. Thanks ... show more

  • Great price (the best) for good filament
Color: 4000g-pla Blue+blue+blue+blue Size: 4KG
I am through 1/2 KG and prints are perfect. I typically get black and white and print in those colors and use others as accent. Black and white are usually cheaper. The price was excellent (lowest price that I have ever paid for PLA). I just bought another 4-pack for $36 including tax.

  • Works good
Color: 1000g Pla Black Size: 1KG
Filament works great. The print quality that is produced by it is really nice. Unlike some PLA filiments, this one does not have any offgassing/smell. Would buy again.

  • Good print quality, but many lost prints due to filament breakage
Color: 1000g Pla White Size: 1KG
Pros: Very nicely wound, and the spool itself is great. The print quality is also good, as is the color - it is pure white. Cons: I have had a number of breaks in the filament when entering the printer's bowden tube. I have had no less than 8 cases of this and my spool still has a little more than 1/3 of the spool left. It has been dried and kept in a drybox, from which it is directly printed. I have no idea why this damn spool keeps breaking constantly, but it is really annoying, and I have not had any other material be this bad about breakages. Either they sent me a really old spool that had been sitting on a shelf, or this is just not good material. ... show more
