I originally bought a similar AMS filament heater from a different seller, and I’m pretty sure it was defective because it kept causing problems with my AMS. I decided to give this Sunlu version a try, and I’m really glad I did. This one has been working flawlessly. It fits perfectly on top of the Bambu Lab AMS to replace the hinged lid, and it does a fantastic job keeping my filament dry. Since installing it, my prints have been more consistent, and I haven’t had any of the issues I experienced with the other heater. The only suggestion I have is to find a way to make the screws easier to get in without turning the AMS upside down. Overall, I’m very satisfied. Solid build, great performance, and absolutely worth it if you want to keep moisture-sensitive filaments in great shape. Highly recommend!

Got these to go with my AMS Gen-1 rather than upgrading all of them to Gen-2, well worth the cost and definitely money saving. Also, allows for printing and drying at the same time which the current AMS Gen-2 set up does not allow for. Set up is super simple and took next to no time at all. Improved filament quality by lowering the moisture content and functions beautifully. Have not had a single issue with tangles and color quality is fabulous. Has not made the AMS bigger, but has changed the curved dynamic to a more boxed look.

This is exactly what I have needed for a long time, east Texas is HUMID even with desiccant in my ams1 it have to change it out every week or so but with this I've maintained sub 20% humidity consistently for over a week now and saved a fortune in comparison to buying the AMS2 pro. my only critique is that I've had to move my printer even further from the wall because it's so bulky and you can't really see through the window all that well. It's super easy to install and works great

I bought this to go with my new Bambu Lab P1S Combo which comes with the original AMS unit. The AMS2 wasn't shipping yet and I'm glad I ended up buying the original with this add-on. It dries while you print or have filament loaded while the AMS2 wants the spools unloaded so it can roll them. This MAY dry more evenly, but my AMS is always fully loaded and ready to print. The valve to open/close the chamber before/after a drying session is manual. I really wish it was automatic as I always forget to close it when the time comes. The built in humidity sensor only goes down to 20% RH. I have some cheap aftermarket hydrometers in the AMS that read down to 10% and are pretty much permanently stuck at 10%. The AMS has a hydrometer you can check from Bambu Studio that gives a letter grade from A-F. Before I purchased this I was at a B or C depending on the day. Now I'm a solid A everyday. You may debate if this addition is worth even using. Most people say PLA isn't very sensitive to moisture and PETG is only moderately so. I decided to maximize my chances. It makes me feel secure when I start those long prints that they'll turn out as intended

This thing completely changed my 3D printing life. I was under the impression that most spools came dry and the AMS with extra desiccant would keep it dry. Boy was I wrong. Tons of failed prints, bed adhesion issues with PETG, lots of prints with small looking holes where it encountered moisture and boiled, overall print quality issues. I finally decided I needed a dryer and I didn't want to take up a ton of space and this thing was perfect. Increased my print quality immensely. Pros: - Space Saving - Relatively Quiet - Easy to Install - Great price for efficiency - Can dry when printing - Dried out desiccant beads in the AMS for me - Fixed 90% of my print quality issues like stringing, popping, layers, adhesion, etc. - Dried with Elegoo cardboard PETG filament rolls with no issues. - Great value for money Cons: - No way to lock down on AMS unit like original lid - Small visibility to see into AMS to view how much filament is left. - Top vent should be locking and I wish it would seal better - Might struggle drying high temp drying filaments compared to a standalone dryer. I think the only thing that would really improve this is if it connected wirelessly to remotely start drying and it had some type of auto vent. Also a latch to lock down onto the AMS to really seal it up would be preferred.

First off, ever since installing this dryer lid my prints have never been crispier, but the AMS constantly reports a moisture level of 4 out of 5 despite being drier than the Sahara Desert. We have yet to find a reason or a solution for this. But the Filament is perfectly dry every print. No clogging issues, no stringing, no brittleness despite being as dry as the surface of the Sun. There has been no color fading or bleeding. Over all it was well worth it. 4 stars because the AMS still thinks it is drowning in the Atlantic Ocean.

Gotta say it's a good addition to an older AMS. Once I figured out how to turn it off after accidentally turning on while opening all is good. Provides good heat and is easy to use. The best is that it dries while printing. Hope Bambu implants that into the AMS 2.
