The fabric is a big part of any hammock and this fabric looks quality. However, hammock owners know longevity is the overall real test. This will take at least six months or so and I will just give my initial impressions beyond the nice appearance. The wood spreader is very solid without knots which is crucial. Different to any hammock I've previously owned the two spreaders are two piece with an interlocking metal rands. Is this better? I'm game, but I've only had one spreader to fail and that was due to what appeared to be a knot in the wood. It failed immediately and actually should have never passed quality control. These are hard wood and if the interlocking metal rand isn't the weak link I expect a fairly good life. You either like hammocks or you don't. My wife loves them so this was a surprise for her to get our old frame back in action. So far so good, but if something not so good crops up I will update. Right now the only thing besides the spreader I think could possible be problematic are the strings from the central hook through the spreader to the fabric mat. At first I thought they were cotton, but I think they may be some kind of synthetic as it didn't stretch like cotton strings. Hope so because even though we take it down we live in a humid area and cotton stringing can be aged quickly by the climate. Again...so far, so good.

This is a great hammock! The material is nylon-like; it's flexible but doesn't stretch out. It will hold up very well to rain, so we don't have to worry about bringing it in/out when there's rain in the forecast. The hammock comfortably fits 2 adults. The white color is more grey than it appeared in the photo.

This is a really great hammock . It’s nice and tight waterproof if you spill something on it, you can just spray it off and it dries quickly. I would not leave it hanging while it’s really windy though because that’s not good it will stress out the ropes, I have mine under a tree so it’s in the shade but it would probably get a little hot if it were sitting in the sun because of what is made of love mine

Good quality. Has been abused in a few rain storms. Does stain easily. Either get used to it or be prepared to wipe it off if you have trees anywhere near the hammock.
