I bought this to replace the old one I had. It’s 12 levels of heat but it takes a bit to warm up. Price point is ok. It’s fleece like—so it’s soft and light. I haven’t washed it in the laundry yet so I don’t know the sturdiness.

I bought this blanket in January exactly 1 year ago. It just stopped working BUT that is after running continuously since the purchase. I have cold feet and keep it on low even during the summer ! Also I've rolled the bed frame over the cord dozens of times accidentally! I highly recommend this blanket. It is soft , warm and stays on unless I turn it off. The heat distribution isn't co distant with some areas warmer than others but I find that with all of them. ... show more

This blanket is so warm! It allows you to stay warm without be HOT Most heated blankets I have had will make you hot, not warm. Even on low settings I used the 6th setting and it was the perfect warmth for me When it was -25 Degrees with -30 wind chills. It kept me warm all night, I will say that it feels a bit like blanket fabric you would buy at the fabric store to use to make a tie blanket But besides that super nice! It’s big and fits my twin size bed great! Worth the money in my opinion ... show more

I bought this for our spare bed, and while it works well, the heated zone is small. There is about a foot of blanket on all sides that has no wiring. If you're looking for your shoulders to be warm, you're probably going to be disappointed, unless you sacrifice your feet. The top 12-18" without wiring, and therefore, without warmth, would really bug me. If you do pull the blanket up, then you'll have a full foot of folded over blanket in to deal with. I'm like the princess and the pea - my bedding has to be just so for me to sleep well. This product would not make me happy. But it works great for the person using it. ... show more

I've had several e-blankets over the yrs, on many different beds, and believe Sunbeam brand are some of the best thought-out designed! I had another "sherpa eblanket days before this and its cord from the eblanket to the controller was ridiculously short, and, several similar eblankets on amzn had complaints against those blankets. The cord on this Sunbeam (Full size, in my case) was very long, thankfully! As for heating, it does heat quickly, even on levels like 2, 3 or 4, which are low levels. The heating does seem to be well spread out, on this blanket. The bottom of blanket has an area without wires, But, it does have a wire running horizontally at very bottom, right before blanket falls over end of the bed. This seems to work out well and feet still receive nice heat. I am very happy I returned the $25-27 sherpa, white/charcoal gray, and bought this blanket. In addition, Sunbeam brand is normally considered one of the best designers of e-blankets, with over 50-60 yrs experience, i do believe. Give it a try! Thx! ... show more

Years ago I bought a Sunbeam heated blanket for use at my job. It was tan, thick, plush, and kept me warm at my desk for hours, and I used it for years. I wanted to buy another one, and trusted the brand name. This blanket is depressing. Like a few others have said, it's thin - made with what feels like craft felt - with hard, noticeable wires throughout. Zero exaggeration, those 8.5" x 11" colored felt rectangles you get in the craft section of Walmart are thicker than this blanket. It feels cheap while costing around $55 at my time of purchase. Maybe it's just a sign of the times we're in, with quality declining due to tightened spending. Regardless it's a loss for me - now I have to pack it back up in it's packaging, file for a return with Amazon, get the barcode, find a return location and find time to drop it off. I miss when things were good. ... show more
