This is an outstanding electric blanket It’s lightweight. I know some people might not like the fact that the controls or combined their not separate. I was a little bummed about it at first too, but I love the fact that it heats up quickly. I haven’t had one issue with it. It washes great I’ll put it in the dryer for about 20 minutes it’s dry. I love it and I even put it on the bed without the controls. I don’t have any complaints if I had to buy it all over again I would. It gets warm very quickly. I usually only turn it on a half an hour before I go to bed and the bed is warm enough. I don’t need to use the blanket for the rest of the night.

Sunbeam Royal Posh Velvet Champagne electric blanket: For a king size bed following the instructions, the cord that connects the 2 controllers is not long enough to reach the nightstand on both sides of the bed. I had to use eyelet screws and zip ties on the bed headboard to raise the cord so the 2 controllers will reach. Blanket is very soft and smooth to the touch, keeps the bed toasty and is large enough for our king size bed. Controllers are easy to use. ... show more

I purchased this because I wanted a brand name product, but need to send it back because it is simply unusable for me (and I assume most others). Here are the problems: - The wire connects to the center of the short side of the blanket - The wire between the blanket and the controller is only 6"-12" long What this means is that you have to choose between one of these three ways of using it; none of which I'm doing: - Place the connector at the top, and have a wire running over your chest - Lay the blanket longways over yourself, covering only half your body (or less) - Place the connector at the bottom (where it should be), but when you get cold you have to get out from under the warm covers, get out of bed, and go turn it on, then crawl back under it, and deal with whatever pet shenanigans occurred due to you getting up. Then get out of bed a second time when you want to turn it off. I usually change my heated blanket heat setting every 10-15 minutes while using it, so this is beyond impractical. I'm not really sure what the designer was thinking making the controller completely inaccessible like that. But the product quite simply cannot be used. As for the size, 60x50 is okayish. 60" makes it from over your feet up to your chest. It really should be another 6"-12" on the long side so it reaches your shoulders. 50" is a bit wide. Even on a king bed it reaches onto my fiancée's side, which is a problem. 66x42 or 70x42 would have been a better design. I'll admit that it does look really pretty. It's soft, fluffy, but still lightweight. It would have been a nice blanket to have laying around. ... show more

I bought this blanket for myself at Christmas this past year. It was great for about 3 weeks, then stopped heating evenly. It would heat at the foot of the bed but not towards the head of the bed. It took me a little while, but I finally got in touch with customer service at Sunbeam. They no longer have this particular blanket, but they offered me a replacement of a different style number, & I accepted it. It works perfectly & heats great. I have chronic pain issues, & the A/C hurts my legs, so if my legs get too cool I just turn on my new blanket on a low setting & I'm great! I started out dissatisfied with the original blanket that I ordered, but when all was said & done I'm extremely satisfied. And, for the record, the customer service people at Sunbeam are SO nice & helpful!! I will most definitely buy again in the future! ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I bought this heated blanket for my 12-year-old daughter and we absolutely love it! It has 4 heat settings, which is perfect for adjusting the warmth. I especially appreciate the 4-hour auto shut-off feature since I was worried she might fall asleep with it on all night. She thinks it’s super comforting and cozy, and it’s been wonderful for when she isn’t feeling well. It also heats up really fast—within about 3–5 minutes it’s already warm. Worked great for 1 week then stopped working, the control for it would not come on. Sent it back for a refund. Shame that none of these blankets actually work. There is no quality from China. It was very soft.
