This is an outstanding electric blanket It’s lightweight. I know some people might not like the fact that the controls or combined their not separate. I was a little bummed about it at first too, but I love the fact that it heats up quickly. I haven’t had one issue with it. It washes great I’ll put it in the dryer for about 20 minutes it’s dry. I love it and I even put it on the bed without the controls. I don’t have any complaints if I had to buy it all over again I would. I know other people had some issues with it, but I have not. take a chance it’s soft. It’s easy to use. It doesn’t smell after you wash it. It stays nice and soft. HUGE and very warm. 10 hours? Sometimes it stops before 10 hours, sometimes it lasts longer. The cord is very long and the dual controls are simple to work. If the controls flash after pushing the ON button, the plug has become dislodged at the blanket ( just push it til it is fully inserted). The heating wires are easily felt and can cause a rippled appearance. The blanket material feels nice. Warms quickly. Even on very low settings, the blanket can get very warm. The first few nights, on setting 3, I had to reduce to 2 or LOW because it was too warm. If folded upon itself, super hot spots can occur. The blanket can tolerate liquid spills while heating. I've had several water bottle/tea leaks and spills without incident. I sleep on top of the blanket to prevent overlapping and hot spots. On my CalKing, my feet will fight with the cord if it is on top of me. I use metal clips to keep the blanket from shifting and overlapping. I use a thin sheet on top of the blanket. I never go above setting 3. I would purchase again. Wait til the price is $85 or less. One star deducted for the obvious wires and the super hot spots. The cat absolutely loves it. ... show more

I purchased this because I wanted a brand name product, but need to send it back because it is simply unusable for me (and I assume most others). Here are the problems: - The wire connects to the center of the short side of the blanket - The wire between the blanket and the controller is only 6"-12" long What this means is that you have to choose between one of these three ways of using it; none of which I'm doing: - Place the connector at the top, and have a wire running over your chest - Lay the blanket longways over yourself, covering only half your body (or less) - Place the connector at the bottom (where it should be), but when you get cold you have to get out from under the warm covers, get out of bed, and go turn it on, then crawl back under it, and deal with whatever pet shenanigans occurred due to you getting up. Then get out of bed a second time when you want to turn it off. I usually change my heated blanket heat setting every 10-15 minutes while using it, so this is beyond impractical. I'm not really sure what the designer was thinking making the controller completely inaccessible like that. But the product quite simply cannot be used. As for the size, 60x50 is okayish. 60" makes it from over your feet up to your chest. It really should be another 6"-12" on the long side so it reaches your shoulders. 50" is a bit wide. Even on a king bed it reaches onto my fiancée's side, which is a problem. 66x42 or 70x42 would have been a better design. I'll admit that it does look really pretty. It's soft, fluffy, but still lightweight. It would have been a nice blanket to have laying around. ... show more

Works great. It is a thin blanket and very slippery on the bed. It slides to the sides of the bed. I ordered some sheet anchors to seenif that works.

The electric blanket heats good on one side and the other side. however there is a cold spot from the head of the blanket to the foot in the middle of the blanket about 6 in wide that is cold. My arm when I'm laying on my back hits that cold spot and I'm not happy about that.
