  • Not the worst, but not the best
My wife's green car quickly turns white from the thickness of the foam. However, even at the maximum setting there's still a lot more water than I'd prefer and that rinses the soap off in a matter of seconds instead of minutes. Also, the hose inside the bottle leaves about 1-2 oz of unreachable soap mixture. My sprayer doesn't stop at the ends of the fan/stream adjustment, and it can't be twisted backwards. Not sure if this is by design or faulty, but if I go for a wide fan and twist slightly too far I get a tight stream and have to fine tune the fan spray again. I bought this cannon just over 3 years ago, and I've probably used it a total of 100 times. Sadly when I went to wash my car this weekend I found that the neck of the bottle had split along the thread line. I suspect this may be a manufacture defect that took a couple years to present itself. The cannon started leaking after a year from where the bottle screws into the sprayer, but it was so minor that I didn't really look into why. I think a solid brass fitting would make more sense for something that is regularly removed/installed like a pressure bottle. None the less, for the price I did get 3 years of use. If they sold a replacement bottle by itself I'd just buy one of those. I'm looking at a wide base cannon to replace this as the empty bottle with the sprayer topples over when I set it down in my wash kit or between cars. Also the wider bottles spread the internal pressure around a larger neck so hopefully it's less likely to split around the threads. Additionally the lack of a built in or included quick connect is disappointing since the Sun Joe lances all have quick connects on the end. Just another $7 part that other brands include. ... show more

  • Foamy foamy. Whoa yeah.
When you dial it in, you get a great lather. Also pay attention to the directions on the bottle, then compare the videos of users on YouTube who use this same product for even better results.

  • Bottle Neck Breaking FIX
EDIT: I recommend just buying the NEW "MATCC Foam Cannon, Adjustable Snow Foam Lance for SPX Series Pressure Washers" which will fit our Sun Joe pressure washers! You should also be able to use cheap Wal-Mart spray bottles with the MATCC foam cannon if they break. OLD FIX: Like other buyers mentioned, you cannot simply use a different bottle if yours breaks. However, there is an easy fix to that problem. My bottle has not yet broke, but if it does happen in the near future then I can easily work around it with other bottles. So, do not hesitate to buy this product. It is very good and produces a lot of foam. It is basically a replication of all other foam cannons on here, but with proprietary fittings. Here's how to fix the bottle breaking issue: 1) Purchase a cheap foam cannon here on Amazon for about $10. (I already owned one, but the quick connect didn't fit the Sun Joe. Many of you may have bought one like me.) 2 ) Carefully loosen and swap the bottle fitting from the Sun Joe with the cheap Amazon one or the one you already own. I was able to loosen with my fingers, but you may need pliers. 3) Once the fitting on the Sun Joe has been replaced, you can use all of the foam cannon bottles here on Amazon, or even better you can use 98 cents bottles from Wal-Mart. I hope this helps all of those hesitant to purchase this product. It is good, and now that I can use any bottle, I anticipate that this foam cannon will outlast my pressure washer. It sucks to have to buy other products to swap, but I had a cheap foam cannon laying around and you can't beat the low price of Sun Joe pressure washers. Their accessories just nearly cost as much as the unit... P.S. - I have used both fittings with this foam cannon and they both produce a ton of foam while washing the cars. Enjoy. ... show more

  • Using the Sun Joe pressure washer with the Foam Canon and Sun Joe soap
I washed my Buick Encore for the second time. The first time I tried it with the canon it was a mess for two reasons: 1) very thick soap from a larger diameter gallon container into the smaller diameter canon was a messy challenge. I filled the container more than half way. I didn't use it all and left it in the canon attached to the metal fittings and adaptor. Being so top-heavy it fell on its side. After a two week trip, I noticed it leaked out on my garage floor but dried into an easy to scrape off slime. 2) I unsuccessfully attempted to beat the rising sun. It left a film over the car that I had to hand wash to remove. Lesson learned - do not do this at sunrise. Yesterday evening I tried it again after a long trip to Arizona. Yes, it did a great job this time, but still lost a lot of soap trying to get the thick soap solution into the canon container. Anyone have any suggestions in getting that into the canon? I tried pouring it into a plastic cup and adding to the canon. It was still slow and wasteful. I even cheated a bit by rinsing the cup with water as to not waste the soap. I suppose a funnel will work but might be slow with that smaller diameter opening in the canon. My husband seems to think this was too much work and quite an expense for a car wash. I might agree but my car does look nice. ... show more
