After going down an electric mower research rabbit hole, they all started to sound the same so I just went with this one because it was (comparatively) inexpensive and from a real brand. It showed up in a nice box with all of the pieces in pic above. It took me exactly 20 mins to put it together myself. It felt a little flimsy and I was starting to think I’d made a mistake. (But read on!) After laying the mower on its side to set the grass height (the pic in the manual is not clear here.) I screwed it up the first time using it but good news- it’s a mistake you’ll only make once. I then wheeled it to my 500 square foot backyard. I put in sod about a month ago, and this would be the first time cutting it. I meant to keep it as long as possible but screwed up the grass height setting (mentioned above), but oh well. Before starting the mower, follow the instructions and tilt it back towards you so the front wheels are a bit up in the air. Then press the yellow button and then pull the lever. (If you pull the lever first then hit the button, nothing will happen and you’ll think you bought a broken lawn mower. Don’t ask me how I know…) My entire 500 square foot backyard took less than 10 minutes to do the whole thing and it looks awesome! But the most impressive thing about the entire mower is HOW QUIET IT IS. It’s about as loud as the quiet hum of a generator. My blow dryer is 3 times louder than this mower. I was bracing myself for some loud traditional lawn mower and this was NOTHING. Last pic is just to show that it won’t cut right up against a building, but I guess that’s why Amazon suggests that other gadget. Anyway, overall I highly recommend this mower! Now granted, I’ve only used it once, but it did exactly what I needed it to do, is extremely light and it looks nice. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because the manual could be a bit clearer, and the part of the mower that goes over the grass clippings bag does feel a bit flimsy and doesn’t really hold in place. I will update this review if the mower doesn’t last awhile. But in summary- go ahead and get this!!! ... show more

    • Decent mower with good battery life, Great First Impression!

Right out of the box you notice how light weight it is. Easy assembly in about 10 minutes. Battery was fully charged when it arrived. It's a LiPo battery, which are great batteries and far superior to the older NiMH, and known for their ability to last much longer with consistent power output. First cut on the lawn the grass was over 10 inches tall. The little mower cut right through. Lawn is 60' X 30' and battery was at 60% when I finished. Was quiet enough to talk in a normal voice with the wife and kids while they helped make sure the yard was clear of sticks and rocks. The only 2 things I see as a cons are the following: 1) plastic housing- Since the axles run through it, and if you put any force greater than the machines weight, it appears the plastic is thin enough to crack. 2) the weight- This is a pro and a con. It is so light, that while pulling backwards, the front end tends to easily come up. I had to condition myself to pull up on the handle while mowing backwards over an initial forward cut. *That being said, it is much easier to maneuver and picking it up is extremely easy.* Highly recommend despite the 2 aforementioned "cons". I will update at a later date after a few more cuts on the lawn or if any issues arise. ... show more

Performs well for small unit but handle doesn't lock and hold position well. Fully charge battery is limited to about 45 minutes of run time. Recharging is 4 times that time...

Great for my small front yard. So quiet I can run it anytime. Just note that it will pickup the grass clippings but not much else. If you have substantial tree blossoms or other debris you will need a leaf blower for those. The battery can be charged with just a plug in cord. Doesn’t need a battery holder to charge like other lawn products. I’m an older woman and I can pick this up with one hand. If your lawn is much larger and you have more trees/debris I would get a more powerful model ... show more

After use of mower and if it doesn't seem to want to start then remove master key for a few seconds the replace them it should start unless of course the battery is dead lol Other then that it will cut up to the same as a gas mower with a bad carb

I wish I bought this sooner. I already owned a corded electric lawn mower 3 years ago. This was as simple as 1) Charge battery (it was delivered with power but I still plugged it in 2) Assembly was two screws and some basic instructions 3) push the button and go. It took 20 minutes from in the box to mowing my backyard lawn (it’s a small yard so my battery was still 3 lights when I was done!). And this thing is amazing lightweight. I did my yard in half the time it would have taken with my old corded mower: I would definitely buy it again ... show more
