Good, low cost option
Color: SY3000
For a very inexpensive reel, this is a very good option. I fish off my kayak and do not prefer any expensive rods or reels since there is a chance of losing anything. This has a very smooth retrieve and is the perfect for a beginner or someone afraid of damaging or losing their equipment. I also throw my rods in my truck bed and they bounce around which is another reason to get something economical. For under $15 this will work just fine. Even if I only get a few years out of it, I can get another one! ... show more

A lot of reel for the price. Buy 3 or 4 for future needs.
Color: SY3000
Plastic frame, but not flimsy. Out of the box reaction; very smooth, anti reverse nearly constantly, bail snaps into open or closed. Great 12 dollar reel, better than Xmart sells at 20 plus. It will be going on a rod that lost a 6 inches of tip, used as a float rig. It will be perfect for 10 lb mono, or 20 lb braid. I think on the right rod this reel would easily handle largemouth bass, for sure panfish or even trout. A lot of reel for the price. ... show more

Not the best reel but great value

If this was $30+ it’d be a 4 star reel, but at the ~$15 price point it gets 5 stars. The handle feels cheap, so not sure if the longevity of it, but it reels in smoothly. I almost returned it at first because the reel wasn’t locking in place in one direction, so I couldn’t get it to stay in one place when I’d put the hook on the rod for storage, then after using the wonderful gift of reading I realized there was a separate switch at the bottom of the reel that made it behave the way it was supposed to. Good little reel for the money. ... show more

Nice, inexpensive basic reel
Color: SY3000
Surprisingly good quality for such an inexpensive reel. Smooth action, no bunching or bird’s nests, and great for panfishing, trout, or any other fish you’d use ultralight gear for.

Decent but very small.
Color: SY1000
Okay for the price but it is really small and the bail hits my knuckles when I reel. It also is fairly smooth but really tight on the retrieve. The drag is decent and overall it is a decent purchase but for a few more dollars the Picifun Flame 1000 is far and above a better value.

Great value for item!
Color: SY1000
Absolutely love this reel! Bought it for Bluegill fishing. I've caught many Bluegill with it and even some 1-2lb largemouth. Very strong for size. Has held up very well!
