This fireplace is really awesome. It was relatively easy to assemble, that said, I haven't carved it into the wall yet, which would be a much bigger project. The fireplace has a ton of color and brightness settings. You can change the color of the glass bedding and the flames independently. I like the natural embers and yellow flame the best, but the vibrant blues and greens are cool as well. It produces a lot of heat and quickly. The remote also works great. This is a great option for ambiance and warmth if you don't have a fireplace and wood to burn.

we installed this in our small cabin when the installed wall unit heater quit working. we wall mounted it and the installation was super simple. just hanging a couple of screws and dropping the heater on them. the heat output is wonderful and heats our small space very quickly and it hold the space at an even temperature all day long. a couple of strange things about it that make it not perfect: * there's no way to run the heater without running the "fireplace" also running. i get that this is probably a me problem, but it would be nice to be able to turn that feature off at times and still have the heater running. you can adjust the brightness of the fireplace. * you can only adjust the colors of the flames and coal bed via the remote. so take heed, if you lose the remote, you're going to be stuck with whatever you had it on last. * the beeps... why must everything beep? any button press on the unit results in a beep. using the remote to do anything results in a beep. again this may be a me problem, but i wish that things could just work without beeping. * the heat only comes out of the center vent. even thought there are three vents along the top of the front of the unit, heat only comes out of the center one. odd, but ok. * you can see the shadow of the heater unit below the center vent when you're running the fireplace in a dark room. so it looks like you have a nice little fire going across the bottom and dead center in the top, there's a dark box about 8x12" just hanging out there.

The media could not be loaded. I really like this! First off, it feel very well made and not cheap. It came nicely packaged and it should be, as it's very heavy and awkward. I was able to setup this up by myself but it would be a lot easier with 2 people. This is important to note because mounting it can be a little difficult and it does need to be secure given it's weight. Other than maneuvering it, it's very easy to setup - just plug it in. This does come with a remote which works well and makes it easy to adjust all the settings as needed. The first time I powered this on it did have a slight burning smell, but that is to be expected and since then, it hasn't smelled at all. The fire display is actually quite nice and better than I was expecting. To me, it's fairly realistic and really gives a nice environment and feel. There are different heat settings and it gets warm quickly. It did a good job warming up what I would consider an averaged size room. When in use, it is fairly quiet. I attached a video of this in operation to this review. Please keep in mind this is not where I kept it, but to just get it opened and see how everything works. All things considered, I never really thought I needed or wanted something like this until I had it. It really gives a nice, relaxing feel to my home even without a real fireplace!

This is an absolutely gorgeous fireplace heater! The craftsmanship is excellent and the fireplace is easy to mount. There are various settings that allow me to change the flame speed, color, output wattage and there is even a timer and child lock to prevent curious little hands from changing the settings. The fireplace is thin but durable and sturdy, worth every cent!
