This is very fine grained vermiculite which is ideal for my needs. I use it for seed starting mixes as well as a "mulch" once the seedlings emerge. The latter works well to prevent damping off on tender starts. Both tasks can be accomplished with coarser vermiculite, but this fine grained option is ideal. It comes in a vacuum sealed pouch. The vacuum makes the pouch rigid, which helps ensure it remains in good shape in transit (as well as saving space in the box). It arrived in perfect shape. On the downside, the pouch is not resealable, so I decanted the leftover material into a sealed container to keep it clean. If you need fine grained vermiculite, this hits the mark perfectly. Five stars.

When my barrel composter has finished breaking down organic material, I like to mix in Sukh Organic Vermiculite along with perlite and polyacrylamide gel to create a light, airy, and moisture-balanced potting mix. This vermiculite does a great job of keeping the compost loose, making it much easier to work with in plant pots. It also helps with moisture retention, which is great for maintaining healthy plant roots. High-quality product—definitely a staple in my gardening routine!

This vermiculite was exactly as expected. Customers desiring larger sized chunks of vermiculite should simply look to another version of this same branded product to fulfill expectations. This vermiculite is of the “fine” to “very fine” variety and there will be very few pieces larger than the single digits of mm. Larger, coarser vermiculite that takes on a layered dimensional appearance is not the intention of this product. No problems with mixing and incorporating the product into soil. A reasonable value for such a soil additive.

A few of my plants had soil that was starting to get compacted and was having problems with drainage and plant growth. This is my first time using vermiculite as a soil conditioner but I could tell there were some immediate changes when I used it. After taking my plant out of it's pot, breaking up the soil and adding the vermiculite in, the soil felt looser. The soil felt a bit more spongey although the vermiculite itself feels more like sand. When I rinsed my repotted plant off, the water drained so much more quickly! I can't wait to see improvements with my plant!
