I used this leather repair paste on a stool with an attached leather cushion that had some small damaged areas and claw holes (courtesy of a cat). The damage wasn’t major, but noticeable, and for that purpose, this worked well. The paste itself is fairly thick - similar in consistency to cake frosting that comes in a tube - so it’s easy to control and doesn’t run or drip. It does not self-level, though, so application technique matters. I found it’s best to apply less than you think you need, spread it thinly, and let it dry before adding another layer. Multiple thin layers give a smoother, more natural result than one thick coat. There is a small spatula provided, though I realized after completing these repairs, a toothpick may have been better for moving the repair paste around inside such small areas, especially on the flat surfaces. It dries quickly, but you can still gently dab off excess while it’s wet if needed. Avoid wiping, though - wiping can smear the surrounding area and make the repair more noticeable, especially if the sheen doesn’t match your leather exactly. The black color was a good match for my stool, so I didn’t need to mix in any white. The dried finish is slightly more matte than my leather, but a small amount of furniture wax helped even that out. In bright daylight and close inspection, I can still see the repaired areas - mainly due to the uneven surface from the original damage. In normal room lighting, however, the repairs blend in very well and are not obvious at all. My photos of the repairs below were taken in full daylight - the pre-repair photos with room lighting. I used this only for small holes, so I can’t speak to how it performs on larger tears or heavily worn areas that get frequent use. I do have a larger project planned (the worn arms of a leather chair), so I’ll update if my experience differs there. The kit comes with a generous amount, two tubes, of the black repair paste, plus a white tube of the same (which I didn't need). There's a mixing/spreading spatula, a small brush, a small lidded pot (for mixing I assume), a small roll of tape (for masking off areas), plastic gloves, 5 sheets of leather texture paper (also didn't need), a sheet of instructions with a color chart that doesn't really apply to this kit. The listing mentions 24/7 U.S.-based support for guidance. I've never done such repairs before, so it was a learning experience, but I didn't feel the need to use the support for this repair. It could be helpful for larger or more visible projects where texture and finish matching are more critical. For my small cosmetic repairs, this kit significantly improved the appearance. This won’t make damaged leather look brand new, unless you have a lot of experience with this type of repair.

The leather sofa in the living room that has been used for many years has a piece of the armrest that is a little worn. I took out this set of leather repair tools to try out over the weekend, and the process was easier than I imagined. First trim the edges, then apply glue and smooth them. The tools are very handy and there are corresponding small accessories for each step. The most surprising thing is the color effect. The black is very deep and even, without turning gray. After it dries and is lightly polished, the repaired area will almost blend in with the original leather surface, and the difference will not be noticeable. The whole process is neither messy nor complicated, making the old sofa look much neater.

This leather repair kit is very easy to use and feels thoughtfully put together. The included tools are actually practical and help with each step of the process, from trimming damaged edges to gluing and smoothing the surface. Everything works well together, so the repair process feels controlled instead of messy or frustrating. Even if you don’t have much experience fixing leather, the tools make it easier to get clean, precise results. The color quality is especially impressive. The black finish is deep, rich, and evenly pigmented, not grayish or dull. After the repair dried and was polished, the restored area blended extremely well with the original leather, to the point where the difference was barely noticeable. The operation is super simple, even someone with no crafting skills can do it. Following the instructions step by step—filling, smoothing, embossing, and coloring—the whole process actually repaired all the scratches and holes! The included tools are complete; everything you need is there. The repair effect is incredibly realistic. The most amazing thing is the embossing film, which perfectly reproduces the leather's grain, and after it dries, you can barely tell it's been repaired! The color is also perfectly matched, blending seamlessly with the original sofa. Not only sofas, but car leather seats have also been saved. I tried repairing a scratch on a car seat, and the effect was just as good. Now I dare to repair any problems with my leather sofas, chairs, and even bags.

I used this black leather and vinyl repair kit to fix a worn spot on one of my car seats. The box includes repair compound, backing fabric, small tools, and a printed instruction guide. The steps were straightforward, and I took my time cleaning the area before applying the compound. The texture blended in better after it dried, especially on small scratches. The color matched my black seat closely enough that it doesn’t stand out unless I look very closely. My black leather sofa had several scratch marks from my cat, and I thought I'd have to spend a fortune on a new one. I was amazed at how easily this repair kit fixed it. I mixed the repair agent as instructed, spread it evenly over the damaged areas, and once it dried, the scratches were almost completely gone. The repaired section matched the surrounding leather in both texture and sheen so well that you can't even tell it was patched unless you look really closely. The sofa looks like new again. Besides the sofa, I also used it to fix the scuffs on my car seat and a small crack in my leather bag, and the results were just as good. It dries quickly too, so it doesn't take up much time.
