I used these to support a 92ft light string. My mount was into a masonry wall with stucco. The included anchors and screws are a probably fine for wood - but didn't hold in masonry. The two piece construction worked perfectly - makes it easier to mount. We only set up our lights temporarily for parties, etc - so you can easily remove the top half of the pole and leave the bottom mounted.

This was a complete waste of time. I used this to mount some string lights, assuming that by the description it would be sturdy enough. It was actually the opposite and you can see in the pictures how the bar under pressure. It was outside in the rain one day and it is already rusty. I had to take everything apart and buy something stronger to do with this item not.

Absolutely fantastic alternative to having to put posts in the ground! Needed to string some lights around out deck and didn’t have a need for full size posts- the lights were a disappointment (that’s a whole other post), but these are amazing. Sturdy, easy to put together and installed, has a carabiner top (game changer) so even in windy weather they stand strong and don’t give. Plan to order several more sets!

I actually attached these to the top of a wooden fence and then hung bird netting from them. We have squirrels who use the top of our fences as highways and crawl down into my bamboo patch / garden next to our fence. The poles hang the netting high enough above the top of the fence to discourage the squirrels from crawling down the fence and into our yard during growing season. I'll take the netting down later in the summer and repeat next spring. Just another no-kill tool in the squirrel wars, they can never be completely stopped, but I've been happy with the results.
