Around my property, it never fails as I install something “permanent” my plans change and I realize I didn't take something into consideration when deciding where to put it and it's a hassle to relocate said object(s). With that being the case, I was hesitant to install any posts or poles to hang string lights from, so I didn't have them put up with the exact configuration that I wanted. Then I saw these... The benefits are obvious in that they are easy to install, take down, relocate or even leave permanently and they look very nice as well. They screw together in sections, so they can easily be packed away in shorter lengths or made to be shorter or taller as needed. The quality of the poles is very good and are stable and steady when installed with no wobbling at the joints. Being able to move them around is also good if you're having a larger gathering and want to dedicate more space for a group of people, but don't need that all the time. I can also see using them for a temporary use at a park or recreational area, campgrounds, an outdoor market, the racetrack, etc. Overall I recommend these posts for their intended use, but they could also be used for string pennants or banners if it wasn't too windy out. The 4- pack at less than twenty bucks each is an excellent value and they were shipped and received fast. 5- stars!

This pole is very easy to assemble and install. It's also the perfect height, as well as nice and sturdy. Several of these together make an ideal solution for installing lights, streamers, or any other hanging decoration you like. Very good product and a solid value for your buck.

Backyard light poles. They’re tall, moderately strong metal poles that are easy to place due to the staked ends. Just loop the lights through the holes and voila. Strong poles. Not sure how they would hold up under strong winds as the stakes are only about a foot long. Great product for its intended usage and they’re a must have for outdoor functions. Makes hanging lights super super easy.

Awesome poles, they are very versatile and easy to put together. You can adjust the height as needed too! There are sections that fit together that increase the height so if you need to change location or height, you can do that! They are sturdy and metal and don't move around if assembled and secured in the ground properly. I use these in my backyard and they are great! The foot is a claw style and are very secure. I used a robber mallet to drive them into the grass. I love using these versus hanging lights off a fence or a tree to my house. It prevents critters like rats from having direct access from a fence to the house/roof. They are good value for the quality!

The best part about these poles is that they don't have to be the full 9 feet tall if you don't want them to be. The sections screw together easily but securely, and you can leave out a section or two if you don't want the lights to be super-high off the ground. This works out well if you're short or if you don't ever have to worry about having super-tall people walking through the area where you set them up. We use these to run string lights around our garden, so we keep them shorter so that we can actually reach the lights if we need to adjust them. The spikes work great at keeping the poles secured in the ground and standing straight up. The powder coat finish looks and feels good, so I'm confident they'll hold up to the sun and rain that we get throughout the year.

My yard looks lovely with these lights strung up around my fire pit. I have two sets of lights by two different companies and I can honestly say, these are the better set in most ways. They are a lot thicker and hold well; they don't bend as much as the other set. They were very easy to put together, and I especially liked the spikes on the bottom that go in - even in rocky soil - without snapping or bending. That said, one of the spikes was so hard to turn that I could not get it into the pole without much force. Then, I had to get "manly" help, and he struggled with it. It's as if the threads were just way too tight. That's why I'm knocking off a star. Quality control probably should have caught that. The only other thing I'm not nuts about is how small the area for the lights to go through, any small breeze and they would unhook pretty easily.
