Features

  • Anubias Nana is one of the most popular aquatic plants loved by both beginners and experts alike, and will instantly give your aquarium, paludarium, or terrarium a lush and natural appearance.
  • Known for its smaller stems, rich green tone, and pointed leaves, this aquatic plant is great for filling up open space and can be placed in the midground or background of your tank.
  • Ships 4-6" tall rooted in wool which should be removed prior to planting. Gently squeeze the pot, peel back the wool, rinse, and plant! Keep the rhizomes above your substrate or the plant can begin to rot.
  • Will thrive attached directly onto hardscape such as driftwood and stones using thread or aquarium glue and will grow fine either immersed in a humid environment or fully submerged.
  • Easy Care - Anubias have low light requirements, can benefit from regular fertilization, and do not require additional Co2 making them a great choice for beginners to live aquatic plants.

  • Healthy, Vibrant, and Worth It
Size: Pot Color: Barteri
Better than expected! Very healthy plants that look amazing and require little work to integrate into your aquarium. I breed Betta fish and love having these plants in my fry tanks. Better than buying at a pet store and worth any extra expense!

  • Very pleased!! Beautiful healthy plants!
Size: Pot Color: Nana
I'm using sand as my gravel for my little tank. These little guys came quicker than I expected. They were packaged well, with heat warmers to keep them happy during transport during cold months. They looked very healthy. I let them sit on my desk to acclimate to room temp for a few hours, then floated them in the bags for twice as many hours in the tank, then ripped a hole in the bag to add some tank water and let them continue floating overnight, then in the morning I took them out and put them in the sand. I had no fish yet in my new tank so I wasn't really concerned about contamination. I'm getting more sand because there isn't enough to cover the pots. I've slowly been bringing the temp up from 72 deg to 77 over the last 5-8 days. They still look super healthy! I definitely will buy again! These were also the best priced plants I could find on Amazon. I'm thrilled at the value and quality! I will add a pic once more sand comes. I also got some plant fertilizer that came a few days after adding them to the tank, so I added that to help them thrive in their new environment. ... show more

  • Beautiful plants!
I don't write reviews very often but since I have had a hard time trying to find a place to buy plants for my aquarium and had to resort to buying online, I thought I would review to make it easier for others in the same boat. I have always been nervous about buying live aquarium plants online. I bought a 3 pack of potted golden leaf Nana plants. Amazon said my order would be delivered almost 2 weeks later from the day I made my purchase. However, SubstrateSource had my plants shipped and delivered a lot sooner than that. It was 2 days after my order that they were actually shipped. I ordered on a Friday and they weren't shipped until the following Monday. I am assuming they took into account that it was the weekend and they didn't want to risk any delays because of that which I really appreciate. After they were shipped, I recieved them not even a full 48 hours later. From CA to my home in OH, I was pretty impressed. Very happy they weren't in transit for very long. They were packaged really well. I can't explain how happy I was with how gorgeous they were. The size of them were your typical standard size for potted Nana plants. They had so many bright colored leaves. Each pot had 2 rhizomes so technically I ended up with 6 plants. I have had difficulty with getting potted anubias plants out of pots before but these were easy to take out including the removal of the rock wool. I checked over each plant thoroughly looking for pest snails and couldn't find any. I can't say you won't get any hitchhikers at all but I didn't come across a single one. They didn't take too long to acclimate to my tank water after I got them in my tank. The leaves looked perfect in my tank after only a few days. Shipping was awesome, plants were gorgeous and healthy, no hitchhikers from what I could see and they were a good size plant with lots of leaves. Since SubstrateSource has a variety of anubias, I will definitely buy again. There are a few different abubias plants I want to add to my tank. Honestly, you can't beat the price either. Usually prices I have seen for single potted anubias Nana plants are $12 to $14 each and I got 3 for approximately $30 after shipping. I would recommend buying plants from this company for sure! ... show more

  • Beautiful plants
Ordered 2 and both of them I would have picked out in the store myself for both color quality and amount of budding growth. They’re very healthy and robust and because I bought them on sale I got 2 for the price of what one would have cost in-person so the value is amazing for how beautiful they are (and even not on sale, still a good deal!). ... show more

  • Great quality!
Size: Pot Color: Barteri
Arrived about 5 days sooner than expected, which I was thankful for since we're in a Missouri winter! Heater pack wasn't very warm at the time of arrival, but plants seem to look happy and healthy! I ordered 2 pots, and each pot came with 2 rhizomes tucked in there. Only complaint (very minor) is that the plants seem to be grown in the wool and due to sensitive fish in my tank, I opted to remove the wool...which was kind of hard to do since the roots were grown into it (there was fertilizer balls tucked in the wool, which is why I opted to remove it, since I put a lot of effort and care into my aquariums!) Again, small complaint as it is an easy fix of removing as much as possible, and just soaking in separate aquarium water to make sure all fertilizer is soaked out. Great value, seemingly great quality, and impressive size for the price! ... show more

The plant is perfect for my fish tank. It’s very green and healthy. It was worth the money. It’s helped to keep my tank cleaner.
