I'm absolutely blown away... I have tried a countless amount of different related products ranging anywhere from $3 to $30, but this is BY FAR the greatest. This is the best product of it's kind in every way, shape, and form. I am a total hot box, I radiate heat like crazy and I sweat profusely, therefore hair products don't last long in my hair. I'm lucky to have a product hold my hair in place for any longer than 20 minutes (no joke). In my best efforts to find something that would actually work for me, I did countless hours of research to eventually come to the conclusion that this was the one for me.... and boy was I right. I have zero complaints. It goes in the hair so easily, it disperses so evenly, it sets at the perfect firmness and texture, and most important of all... it lasts all day! Which is saying a lot coming from myself. Stop looking around, this is the product you want, I promise. Nothing else even comes close. The picture was taken after a long, hot, windy day.

I bought this pomade, looking for a water-based pomade with a firm hold. I have thick hair, and usually wear it in an undercut, with the top pushed to the side (i.e. need a strong hold to get it to cooperate). The good news is that this pomade does that beautifully. In fact, I really like how the hold looks. However, that's pretty much the only thing I like about it. The pomade dries too "hard" in my opinion. It feels way too much like a gel, which is the entire reason I reach for the pomade *instead* of a gel. However, that by itself isn't a deal-breaker. In fact, if this was my entire review right here, I'd be giving this 4/5 stars and wearing it to work tomorrow. But I'm not, and here's why: The fragrance is WAY too strong. Gentlemen, you do not want to be getting your fragrance from what you wear in your hair. Especially if it's a strong fragrance. Ideally, that's what cologne is for, and you wear that *under* your clothes for a reason (i.e. body heat's effect etc.). If you want to know why, this stuff is a classic example. While the fragrance isn't bad at first smell, it becomes nauseating over the course of the day. What's worse, it's on your hair - you can't cover it up or get away from it. I have literally been smelling nothing but this pomade all day - not even my cologne does that. They've taken the fragrance way too far, and it makes this stuff almost unbearable to use on a daily basis. tl;dr while this product's performance is top-tier, the fragrance is simply too overpowering to make it viable as a daily grooming product. If you want my advice, pass this one by and seek out something similar with less or no fragrance.

May we have a national conversation about the smell? This is barber shop meets expensive cologne hit by a falling pine tree. Sometimes, honestly, I just stand there and smell it. The hold on my medium length, frizzy/thick/wavy hair was positively fit, and it looks like Jurassic-era amber tree resin. A very pleasurable product. Made in the USA. Highly recommended for thick, wavy, but "puffy" hair. And this product isn't just for the boys. If you are a woman and wanting to look like "Roxy" in Basic Instinct, this product is for you. I sometimes mix it with American Crew Fiber for added pliability and finger comb restyle here in humid Austin, TX, but this product stands alone just fine.

When you have an uncontrollable mop atop your head the way I do, you get three options: (1) super glue, (2) go around looking like either a brilliant physicist [nobody's fooled in my case] or more likely one of those troll dolls, or (3) buzz it all down and everyone asks you if you played football in high school, and you get carded when you're trying to buy spray paint at the hardware store even though you're over 40. Fortunately, Suavecito's "Firme" hold came into my life and finally gave me option #1, with the bonus of being able to wash it out -- and my head not sticking to random steel girders. Short of super glue, there is nothing that I've found that even comes close to the hold of this great pomade. The best thing about it is how well it lasts throughout the day. Now my daily challenge is limited to how to pronounce "Firme" -- Firm? Firm-eh? Firm-ee? Yes, I waste my time. But damn, my hair looks great while I do it.

This is my go-to pomade when I absoltely need my hair to stay in place all day in windy conditions. Like riding rollercoasters, or driving around in a convertible or with all the car windows open. That being said there is a reason for this... It dries HARD like gel hard. It doesn't flake and turn white like gel but nonetheless you will not be running your hands through this. Suavecito is great for slick looking styles that are only for looking not touching. It also dries my hair out something fierce so I don't use it all the time. Nonetheless the smell is great, it spreads through the hair pretty well and holds excellent but there are better options that won't dry out your hair and let you still touch it.

The hold that this product gives is fantastic. I was skeptical if it would stand up to sweat seeing as its water soluble, but it did great all day and I work in shipping and receiving where sweating is basically in the job description. I only have one gripe with this product, but it’s a BIG one. My issue is with the scent. It smells fine, exactly what you’d expect for your standard men’s hair product or body wash, but it’s the strength of the scent that’s the issue. It is overwhelmingly powerful, almost to the point of causing a headache. It did get less strong throughout the day, but only BARELY. Have you ever walked past someone a thought “WHOA, that person bathed in cologne/perfume”? Well I’m very confident I was that person. It might just be a deal breaker. I didn’t even use all that much. I went little by little until I got my hair to stay in position, and that was it. I’m not sure I can still style my hair and use less, but I will try one more time. If that doesn’t help though, this product will either be returned or tossed out.
