I'd had rotten luck with water-based pomades, and so had relied heavily on oil-based versions, including the excellent Suavecito oil-based version. Of course, the oil pomades have their own drawbacks... Decided to try this one on a lark, and I think it's awesome. Excellent hold, but not gel-like, which has been my previous experience with firm, water-based products. It also lasts all day, and washes out super easy. Scent is very mild, but pleasing enough for me. I would say that it leaves a bit more shine than expected. That's not a problem for me, I was using grease previously, but might be a drawback for some. Overall, I really like it a lot.

I have curly/wavy hair that if left untamed is totally unmanageable. Past clays I have tried clump my hair together, leave a shine I just don't like, or just don't hold. But Suavecito ticks all the boxes for me. Note: I usually put in about less than an almond size amount after I shower. It has minimal shine so looks natural, actually holds in my curls while giving me the flexibility to style my hair, and it holds all day and into the next. Actually I think it looks better in th morning. I can rock some messy bed head or easily restyle it. It also washes out easy, has a nice subtle smell, and you get a hell of a lot in one canister - like more than double your typical can of Old Spice. Another thing, as a man of a certain age with thinning hair this does thicken it up a little bit which I appreciate. It does not feel light. It's thick and tacky so if that bothers you stay away. Alas, that is the nature of clay. Highly recommend

My husband is very picky with his hair products. I bought this as a gift and he absolutely loves it. Good hold and not oily that drips on his face at the end of the day. Scent is very masculine and not over bearing.

I've been using Suavecito pomade for years and the clay pomade is my personal favorite. It sets my hair in place and it gives it a natural look without looking too messy. Plus for a clay pomade it is very affordable compared to other options that cost more and do pretty much the same job just with a different scent. The scent that comes with the Suavecito Clay pomade isn't strong but it was enough for my wife to notice and enjoy it. Subtle and not gem-icky.

My favorite product. I use this than a little bit of their strong hold. But if you need something that has a strong hold. That you can continue to reshape throughout the day. It doesn’t have any shine the clay is the way to go. I just wish it had a slightly stronger smell.
