For the record, I do mix with a coconut apricot wax! Coconut apricot wax is fantastic but I needed a smoother and higher fragrance load candle wax. This is good alone, but I like making a special blend to get all the benefits I'm looking for. This wax is SMOOTH! No black soot like others are saying. A lot of people leave their wicks entirely too long and that can make you throw soot too. Try cutting your wicks back or measuring your fragrance load by weight. We really like working with this wax. Sometimes when we need a more pliable wax, we mix cooking oil, crisco, or petroleum jelly with canning paraffin. However, it's nice to have this premix soy blend. It cuts really nice, almost like a slightly thawed stick of frozen butter. At room temp (67°), it's semi-pliable, but it forms really well in your hand once you hit the 80s and 90s. It doesn't really leave any waxy film on your hands (wearing gloves because we am working with different wax blends at the same time). It's just slightly oily to the touch. ... show more

This wax is not your best wax. I had a customer to bring back 2 jars because of how this wax preform. It has a bad sooting problem and causes the wicks to turn very black.

it works but can NOT Get it to hold a SCENT for Hot Throw.....I did 24 Test Candles using different scents and wicks, and only 2 of the 24 had a OKAY HOT THROW, the rest were miserable--I tried everything from 6-8-9-10% the 2 that got only a mediocre hot throw were 2 12% ones , I did 100 Wax and well as Paraffin Blends 65/35 70/30 80/20 90/10 and 100 % this stuff stand alone......didnt make a difference, NOTHING Really held a Scent Cold or Hot, So would I recommend Probably Not, Is it Possible I got a bad batch of WAX??? Doubtful but possible.....Overall I can only give them 3/5 Stars cause I hate to rate lower unless something is just horrible, It was Average and the average score reflects that. Good Melting good Curing, nice and smooth overall a good product in every aspect except the most important one---HOT THROW....it FAILED !! ... show more
