    • Adequate But Not the Best
Hey, you're getting a basic tool that will satisfy basic needs. Face it, if you're considering buying this it is because you're attracted to the price and wanting to get the job done without spending a fortune on a tool that you're rarely going to use. This tool does the job, but you'll have to do a bit of practice in order to work around the quirks. First, it isn't a high-quality tool and the fit is fairly loose. So, the two halves have to be manipulated in order to square it up with the tubing in the proper hole. I used a pair of smooth jawed Knipex as I tightened up the wing nuts. You will also have to adjust the verticle swage tool as you tighten it down on the tubing to keep things straight. I turned the screw slowly and adjusted it square as I went as it had a tendency to cant over which will skew the fitting over if you're not careful. Once I figured out how to work around this tool's shortcomings, I was able to make a reliable end that won't leak. I can't give it 5-stars, but I think it would be unfair to give it less than 4 since most considering this tool are trying to save money and shouldn't expect more than the money spent will deliver. ... show more

I needed to replace the lines on my Chevy and figured this would be the most cost effective option. Extremely easy to use, great quality tools, lines, and fittings. I keep the kit in my road bag with the fittings and line in case I'm ever in a sticky situation. The blow molded case is why I chose this so I can keep everything organized in a durable case. Would definitely buy this again to keep in my other vehicles or if I lost pieces of the kit. ... show more

I have a couple of older classic cars (60s and 70s) for which the preformed brakes lines are no longer available. This kit allowed me to recreate and build replacement lines. Just be aware, as with everything else in life, it will take some practice. You will screw up a couple while leaning but in the end you will have a very useful skill and tool. ... show more

works great. if you never done lines from scratch . you should practice and watch you tube videos. nice kit all the parts to replace a few lines with new fitting. but most times the old fitting will work A kit like this would cost100-150 bucks 10 years ago. thank you
