The only thing that stood out on this that I'm not crazy about is how large and heavy the bracket is for mounting the display. Being a RAM-ball based mounting system, that can easily be changed- but it's metal and quite heavy. There are conversion arms to convert the large ball to a more typical 1" ball and from there one can choose any number of smaller or different mounts, including a cup holder/phone holder or smaller bracket. Many people use small displays, so the giant bracket may or may not be a good fit. The rail included is a standard kayak rail, so if not using this bracket one can use it for other kayak accessories or move the bracket to another rail at a different position on the boat. For my own application, I'm leaving the large metal base for the display off and putting my small display on a separate mount. The quality of the components is quite good and it looks to be durable as well. It comes with everything one needs except for the hardware to connect your sensor and display, as that could vary greatly depending what system you choose. For my purpose, a simple zip tie was the best way to get the sensor mounted to the arm. I chose four stars, as I think it's a decent value overall but would be more usable with a more common size ball mount as well as a smaller display bracket. Even large displays can mount to a much smaller bracket than the one included and while some view metal brackets as superior- on something like this, the composite/plastic mounts on a standard size ball would, in my opinion, be far superior. Does not accept the transducer for the garment fish finder. The end of the bracket is way too small and would need so many spacers to make it fit. And it would not be able to tighten down and stable

When I first got it it worked fine. I then stored it away for a while because I didn't have any electronics yet, and when I finally got one and tried it out. The ball didn't want to pinch the screw on the bottom so it just hanged loosely. It works but the ball just didn't want to work unless I pull it upwards to extend the screw and push it down for the screw to "clamp". It was a bummer for it to break some reason. ... show more

Wow, this is a game changer if you have multiple crafts. My use case for this arm is not just my kayak; I can also remove the graph and take it to another kayak or boat. We do an annual remote Ontario fly-in fishing trip, and this makes it easy to bring my graph and attach it to the stern of the little aluminum boats at the off-grid cabin. The multiple adjustment points make it easy to adapt to having the transducer off to the side on a kayak or off the back on the tinny. The quality of the components is excellent, with the adjustment points locking down nice and tight. Overall I love this and I don't know how I lived without it. ... show more
