This high quality aluminum flashlight is superb in every way. It is definitely worth its very high price. It is small and comfortably fits in even the smallest hands. It is lightweight. It is recharged via USB C so you will never need to buy batteries for it. Each charge lasts a very long time. The on/off switch has a “turbo mode” that is engaged by pushing and holding the on/off switch forward (a natural motion). This high power mode increases the light output from the normal 300 lumens to a whopping 1000 lumens for 35 seconds maximum. The color temperature isn’t specified but it’s in the 6000 degree range which helps illuminate things deep into the darkness. It even has a clip so it can be held easily on a pocket for quick access. I live in a mountainous area in the desert SW and regularly use this flashlight when I go outside at night. I feel secure that this very bright light will ward off the coyotes, wild pigs and other desert critters that own the night here. I have over 10 (small & large) other flashlights around the house but use this one 95% of the time. (My 4 D cell one is used for really long range.). I recently grabbed the Streamlight 88810 Wedge 300-Lumen Flashlight for my EDC, and it’s been a fantastic little light! Its slim, flat design slides into my pocket like a dream, barely noticeable alongside my phone, and the deep-carry clip keeps it secure without snagging. The 300-lumen mode is plenty bright for nightly dog walks or rummaging under furniture, and the 1000-lumen THRO mode is a quick press away for when I need to light up something farther out—though I wish it could stay on high without holding the switch. The USB-C charging is super convenient, fully juicing up in about 3 hours, and the sturdy aluminum body feels like it’ll last forever, even with an IPX7 waterproof rating for rainy days. My only gripe is it’s a tad long for smaller pockets, but at around $80 on sale, it’s a solid, reliable flashlight that’s become my go-to for everyday carry—definitely recommend ... show more

Love this light use it everyday in a mechanical shop and even got one for the house and go bag. Bright east to use and charging is fast and last multiple hours on one charge. Awesome gift as well. Color on the case is nice case is very durable cleans easy.

I’ve been using the Streamlight Wedge as my primary flashlight for about a year and a half now, and at this point it’s my constant companion, one of those tools I genuinely feel naked without. I’m a mechanic, so this light hasn’t lived an easy life. It’s been submerged in oil, coolant, fuel, water, brake cleaner mist, grease, pretty much every fluid you can think of in a shop, and it just keeps working. I don’t baby it. It lives in my pocket every day, gets dropped, knocked around, and used constantly under hoods, dashboards, frames, and equipment. What really sets the Wedge apart for me is the form factor. It disappears in your pocket but is instantly accessible, and the flat profile makes it far more comfortable than traditional round lights. The output is more than enough for real work, and the beam pattern is ideal for close up inspection without blinding yourself or washing everything out. Battery life has also been excellent. It lasts for hours, which is why it’s not just a work light for me. I use it hunting as well. Whether I’m in the shop or out in the field, it’s the same light in my pocket doing the job. The switch is intuitive, the build quality feels solid, and the rechargeable battery has been reliable with zero issues over time. It’s one of those tools you stop thinking about because it just works every single day. There are plenty of flashlights out there, but very few earn a permanent place in your pocket. This one has.
