Description

The Streamlight Wedge XT is an ultra-compact, high-performance EDC light designed for clean pocket carry. It's USB-C rechargeable and outfitted with a tactical push-button tail switch for easy, one-handed use. Made of rugged anodized aluminum with a waterproof charge port, the Wedge XT balances durability with performance. It features two lighting modes, high, and low. High mode provides 1,900 Candelas, 500 Lumens with a beam distance of 87 Meters and a run time of 2 Hours. Low mode provides 200 Candelas, 50 Lumens with a beam distance of 28 Meters and an extended run time of 11 Hours. The USB-C rechargeable lithium battery charges in six Hours and lets you know when it’s charging with a red LED status indicator. When fully charged, the status indicator turns green. A charge status indicator features a red LED light when the battery is charging. A green LED light indicates the battery is charged. The battery charge indicator is located above the chart port. The Wedge XT features a Five Tap lockout mode that prevents it from being accidentally turned on in your pocket or in your bag. Featuring durable anodized aluminum construction, IPX7 waterproof to 1m, and 1-Meter impact resistance tested, the Wedge XT is the perfect companion for everyday carry or for any adventure.

Streamlight Wedge XT, i edc a light for work in a commercial and industrial setting and have tried a bunch of different lights. I have no complaints about other ones but I feel like this is my new favorite. Feels like a knife in my pocket nice and slim, I like how it only has 2 brightnesses so I’m not clicking though 3 different modes to get to high or low. I have it programmed for low first then high so just 2 quick taps and I’m at high which is really nice vs some other lights you have to give “ half clicks” and if your on top of a ladder and stuff in your other hand it can be a pain at times. I also really appreciate the usbc port so I don’t have to take the battery out to charge it. Just plug it in my van or on my desk when needed. Yes there are plenty of competitors and I’ve tried them, streamlight is tried and true, you won’t be disappointed with this light ... show more

    • A flashlight worth carrying

If you're like me, you're probably second-guessing whether you need to spend 80-odd bucks on a flashlight. I mean, your phone has one, it takes up no space in your kit, and it's free! I decided to pull the trigger on this light, and I'll never look back. I had been looking for a reliable, quality USB-C rechargeable light for awhile, and the Wedge simply checks all the boxes. I've had RovyVons in the past, but they're a little too small to hold and locate conveniently, and they get lost because they're so small. The Wedge fits perfectly in a pocket, and locates super quickly when I need some light. The thumbswitch is intuitive and easy to locate with a single motion when you pull it out of a pocket. It's super durable, surviving multiple drops onto concrete. It's not super bright, but it's more than bright enough for what I use it for at work (locating mechanical equipment, tracing wires, lighting up dark areas). It's also great that it doesn't have any stupid "tactical" strobe function: it turns on, it turns on extra bright if you need it, and it turns off. The runtime is incredibly good; I'd say it probably lasts for at least a few hours on a single charge. Charging is super convenient, since there's no dustcap that you need to remove on the back, and it charges with the same USB-C cable you'd use for your phone; I can throw it on the nightstand to charge at night if I notice it getting low. I'd say I charge it maybe once every week or two, with casual (10-15 minutes) of usage per day. Ultimately, while this light doesn't exactly shine (pun intended) in any one particular area, it's the perfect all-rounder. I find myself reaching for it much more often than I expected I would, simply because when I need some extra light, it's WAY faster (and brighter) than pulling out my phone and turning on the flashlight. ... show more

Great light. It fits really well in your pocket. Not super heavy but it does have enough weight to it that it feels very rugged. No bells and whistles. Simple, and that’s how I prefer it to be. Will buy another for a Christmas present

Awesome EDC flashlight for me as an auto technician. Maybe this might help others, I use a little bit of loctite on the 4 bolts to the body of the flashlight they tend to get loose and back out over time from my past experience with wedge.
