  • Nice and cheap sketchbook
It's a sketchbook it's got paper and all that. It's also cheap, should add that, y'know maybe add a point for that. Maybe buy another sketchbook if you plan on using copics or doing any sort of painting. This sketchbook is mainly sketching and using dry media.

  • Great for everyone!
I added these sketchbooks into our homeschool this year. Each kid has one that will last for the whole year, and they do a drawing assignment each day. The paper quality has been great for them to draw and sketch on. However, I do not think that sketchbook will hold up for the whole school year. The back is sturdy with a thick cardboard piece on it, but just from turning the pages each day, they are starting to tear out. For those that are more careful with the books or for those who tear out their sketches, this is not a problem. it's really a minor issue, and overall, we are pleased with these sketchbooks. ... show more

  • Good but not for a finished and framed drawing.
I got the 100-page sketch pad, series 200. It is 8.5x11 inches. It is good for taking around with you and making spontaneous or study sketches. The paper says that it is 50 ib but I suspect that it is a tad thinner, I have had other brand 50 ib paper that feels somewhat thicker. As far as it goes, it is a good sketch pad. Especially with pencil. If you have a heavy hand or like to layer alot, I would get a thicker paper. ... show more

  • Good Value
I'd gotten this sketchbook many times before, and just needed a replacement after I lost my other one. The paper is thick enough that ripping from excessive force/strokes is not an issue, but not so thick that I would suggest anything but pencil, charcoal, or pen. I've tried to use brush markers (like copics) on the paper, and it does bleed through pretty easily. Even if you put a tissue/napkin under the page you're drawing on, it still leaks through to the reverse side of the page, so I wouldn't suggest it if you like to use both sides of your paper. The front cover is just paper of similar thickness to the pages inside, and the back cover is the customary thick cardboard that gives you a level surface to draw on and keeps the sketchbook from getting too beat up. ... show more
