Ohuhu is one of the brands I will always be loyal to. They have yet to let me down, and I’ve needed a new sketchbook for a while. Being bleed resistant for alcohol markers is a plus, since it is my main media. However, as other reviews state, the pages are not 100% alcohol marker proof. They are definitely resistant, but using alcohol markers on a page will more than likely render the other side unusable/difficult to use. I scribbled with Ohuhu markers on a page I tore out to test the bleed resistance, and with the pink you can see I did 1 stroke, then up to 5. With the black, I just scribbled in a circle for around 10-15 seconds. The pink didn’t bleed through until 5 strokes, and it was super mild. The black definitely bled a lot more, though. While it didn’t touch the other paper too noticeably, you can see that the backside of the page I drew on has a good amount of bleed. If you blend your alcohol markers you know you need multiple strokes, and this can quickly lead to a 30-page notebook only having room for 30 drawings, instead of 60 like I had hoped. The paper quality is great though. It feels nice, it’s smooth, and has good weight. Feels nice to write and draw on, with little to no resistance against graphite and pens. I have not tested watercolor or acrylics on the paper yet though, so I do not know how it stands up to those medias. Also, I kinda hated the texture of the cover. Minor complaint, but it was weirdly textured with a ton of small lines, and an almost vinyl/plastic feel to it. I covered it in stickers to negate the texture, which was easy enough, but I wish it had not been textured, or was more mildly textured. But again, that’s a minor complaint, and very person-to-person. ... show more

This sketchbook is great! Extremely thick and smooth paper which is perfect for markers and the cover seems to be very sturdy. The pocket at the back is really convenient as well. This wouldn’t be best size for traveling in my opinion but ohuhu has a smaller, thinner, and lighter size thats just perfect for that. I wouldn’t recommend this for any wet mediums like watercolor because the page buckles right away. Colored pencils also seem to be working great! The blend-ability of alcohol markers is wonderful and pencil doesn’t smudge on the paper. It also comes with a plastic sheet for you to put on the back of the page you are coloring on so the marker doesnt bleed on the other page. This is definitely my favorite sketchbook that I’ve ever used, I personality like it more that the Illo Sketchbook. Microns work great on it too and if you wish to do so, you can draw on the cover with Posca pens or Gelpens. There is also a string to mark where you are in the sketchbook and flip right to that page whenever you want to draw so thats convenient. I absolutely recommend this. ... show more

My daughter loves to draw in color with markers, when I bought this, I thought that it would not bleed through so she could draw both sides of the paper. It comes with a plastic sleeve, so it doesn’t bleed through on the next paper, but it does bleed through so you can’t draw something on the back of the page ... show more

I purchased this because it was something I always wanted. Why carry around pages of blending paper if it can be in one package. I needed a book for my guilty pleasure in redrawing/"referencing" artworks while my stand alone A4 for original pieces. Small rant: a lot of low star reviews think it's bleeding to the back of the page is avoidable, either they have only used the most expensive paper in the world or not experience enough with markers. I use Copic Marker Express Blending card and it still shows on the other side. It'll bleed through because at the end of the day it's a liquid on paper. But I haven't noticed major bleeding then again I'm not using this paper for professional work with layers upon layers of blending which is doable just use the plastic to make sure it doesn't get on the next page. TLDR: Exactly what you expect it would be if you have realistic expectations. Edit: A lot of people are complaining about the Ohuhu markers on the page and so I purchased myself a 48 pack and tested it out myself. The nerdy joker character being colored with the ohuhu and it would've bled through the paper onto the next page if I didn't use the plastic sheet. But this is me laying 5+ layers on certain areas and only those areas showed signs of bleeding onto the next page. I don't notice any significant streakiness that others claim or tear. It does what it's supposed to do and works perfectly fine with Ohuhu and Copic Sketch markers Pros: -Includes a plastic sheet to guarantee no bleed onto another page -Actually blends the marker well with surprising less bleed than I thought. - Fair price Cons: -Not actually A4 size. It has the A4 dimensions but they have a pre-cut nudge which means you're losing some of the paper and it's taller than A4(image above) despite marketing the dimensions of A4 which is misleading if I were to put any of them in a frame or something in the future. -Not really a con, more like expected it's heavy. I would not carry this around since it weights as much as a light laptop. So not really portable - Found that pencil were more visible even after erasing -Pens took a little bit longer to dry/set ... show more

I took a class on domestika that was a drawing/marker class. The instructor used a moleskine, but I've found those bleed through with markers. I wanted a small sketchbook that would be good for the markers. This is exactly what I was looking for. I like the size, and the paper is perfect for the markers & pens. When I fill this one, I will get another (as long as it's available). The cover is nice and feels sturdy. I have no plans to take it anywhere, but it seems like it would be good for slipping in a tote or backpack. ... show more
