They're a very nice travel size, and the binder wire is large, so you can fit a couple of pens or mechanical pencils into it safely! The paper is also small grain, yet rough to the touch, so it's not too easy to accidentally smear your work, and erases well, and is nice for small scale sketching. The paper is also an off white/warm tan tint, so it's easy on the eyes as well. Recommended!! ... show more

Beware if you need 8.5 x 11 this sketchbook will come up in results along with 8.5 x 11 sketchbooks. These pages don't fit in my scanner so they are useless (I do too many sketches a day to trim each page, or at least it becomes a huge part of the process if I do have to). Of course it's all on me for not checking the description but I was scrolling thru all 8.5 x 11 when I picked this one. No excuse, but I can help others not make my mistake :) ... show more
