These work so well if you want to make a visor for a helmet you 3D print. Used it on a Doom replica my Husband and I made for a contest we entered. He was able to get the car tint to adhere to it just fine and you can see through it very well. The size is perfect enough to work with when you need to cut it down to size.     • Love it - here's the setting for a Cricut Maker that worked for me

This is the perfect weight for making stencils. It took a bit of digging around YouTube to find the best setting for my Cricut Maker 3, and here's what worked best for me - use the "Acrylic" materials setting (I used "more" for the pressure), which will make 2 passes by default. This may be enough, but if you then hit the C button on the top of the machine, it will do one more pass, and cut the material through cleanly. I used the standard blade. ETA: I finally had an opportunity to cut and score these sheets. Unlike the Cricut brand sheets, I did have to make 4 passes on the acetate setting to cut through cleanly. I used the Deboss tool to create the score lines and for whatever reason, they did not deboss deeply enough to make score lines easy to see or fold. May need to play with settings more. Given that, I personally would lean more towards using this material strictly for cutting shapes that don’t require any scoring/debossing unless you create a custom setting that can do the job with fewer passes. Previous review: Some reviews mention disappointment with "bags" and I have no idea what they're referencing. This review is for the Samsill 12x12" .007 Clear Craft Plastic Sheets. Should work well for many craft projects and while I haven't cut it yet, I'm sure my Cricut Maker will be able to handle it. Purchased to use as "window" plastic for shaker cards, etc. Each sheet is protected by a layer of tissue to prevent scratches, which is very nice! The reason for 4 stars, rather than 5, is that it is not quite as "crystal clear" as Cricut or Grafix brands of clear acetate, which I also have on hand. It does have a slight haze that is evident when peering through it if you hold it up to a window, or view objects through it that might be a foot or more away. What I think this brand acetate is great for: Stencils, shaker cards, window cards, for creating pop up mechanisms for decorative elements on cards, as well as lids for gift/treat boxes. I think in these use cases, the slight haze would not be detectable to the naked eye. I probably wouldn't use it to make completely clear boxes or packaging because at that point, I think the slight haze would be more apparent but I haven't actually tested this theory. Overall, I think it's an excellent value, when considering the cost of the other brands. I rate Cricut and Grafix brand 10/10 for clearness and overall quality, and I'd give this one 8-9/10. I have been paper crafting professionally as a designer and concept artist for over 30 years, if that helps any. ... show more
