This is a great art kit for beginners. Plenty of pencils and charcoal to experiment and learn to control value. The sketchbook is a good quality paper. Everything that is needed to start drawing is there and for the price it is a great value.

    • NOOOOOO DON'T BUY IT!!
This is GARBAGE. Everything in this set, except the carrying case, is the lowest quality I've ever seen, even the cheapest set at Walmart is a billion times better than this. I can't use ANY of it, except the willow sticks. The sketchbook paper quality is poor. Materials do not blend, and it is rough. Using an eraser causes the pages to fall apart. I won't even give it to my 10 year old niece to learn on because it will make her think she is a bad artist, when really, its the materials that are bad. Now, I will say the case is awesome. I will be keeping this and filling it with quality materials, which conveniently has the brand name printed on it. I like it there to remind me which brand to never ever buy anything from again. I am very satisfied with the drawing supplies in the kit. There is enough to last here for years, but if you are drawing everyday you will use these fast. I’m trying to generate my own drawings and learning to paint at the same time. I’m learning how to shade items a little at a time and the blending stump and sand paper are oddly satisfying. I want to learn every piece of graphite and charcoal in the kit and how to use them. It is relaxing when I do use them. So I’m launched in my semi new hobby thanks for a great kit. ... show more

This kit was very impressive, came with some items i had no idea about growing up. There was a sheet that came with it to explain what each tool did aside from the obvious ones of course. I would recommend for that person/child that has interest in drawing. The minimal thing was the shipping. it looked like it was opened, and the box wasn't concealed within another box, but other than that the contents were awesome. ... show more
