  • Quality
The O'SKOOL Drill Press Table is a quality Item. For the price, I am pleased. The parts are well packaged and complete. The instructions are clearly illustrated and understandable. They describe how to mount the table to your drill press, install the included tape measures, aligning the aluminum fence, and positioning the hold down clamps and flip stop. The replaceable 3/8" MDF center insert has four small screws beneath to adjust it to be flat with the table surface. After reviewing the product photos, I noticed the hold downs have springs to keep one end of the clamp arms raised above the table. My kit did not include the springs, and the instructions do not mention them. Not at all a deal breaker, just something I noticed. This is the only drill press table I have owned, so I can't compare it to the other more expensive brands. Others may have more bells and whistles, but for my wood working projects, the O'SKOOL will meet my needs. I used the table to drill three hole along the edge of a piece of 5/8" thick oak, and the holes were the perfectly aligned. This would have been difficult if not impossible without spending a lot of time clamping a straight edge to the existing drill press table. The O'SKOOL table made the job simple and accurate. This is the second O'SKOOL tool I own. The first is a the router lift. It has worked well also. I will definitely consider purchasing other O'SKOOL products. ... show more

  • High quality. Well made.
This is a well made table. It came very well packed and with clear instructions. I love the color scheme they used - the orange and black is boss. The MDF is covered with a heavy durable plastic. all the aluminum parts are anodized. Everything is made extremely well. The fence or table are easily removed when the need arises. It's quality all around, no skimping on anything. The instructions are very well written. You do need to read them a few times to get exactly what to do. Also, make sure you use the right length bolts for each step. they do give you the lengths, but I didn't pay enough attention. I thought there were missing bolts until I realized that I used some of the bolts in the wrong places. As far as concerns, I only had a few issues: 1. The mounting claws could not reach the bottom frame of my drill press table, because my table has a flange on it that prevented it. The solution was simple: feed the bolts through the table slots. This solved the problem. It's a little less convenient to remove the table when the need arises, but it's a very minor inconvenience. 2. I wish the cutout was a little closer to the center of the table. The back edge of the table is about 2 1/2" from the column, but the replaceable cutout limited how close I could get it to the column. If this ever becomes an issue, I could always make the cutout area a little larger, but I think this will be okay for most operations. I tried to turn the table around, but the cutout area would not be positioned properly under the drill. The fence is easily removed and, if need be, it can easily be turned around and used "backwards" to take advantage of the longer length in front of the cutout as opposed to the back. 3. The cutout is 3/8" MDF. The 3/8" MDF, or plywood, is uncommon in my area. Standard MDF thicknesses are 1/4" and 3/4". I will have to figure this out. I can certainly glue two 3/16" floor underlayment together to make more 3/8" cutouts, and that should solve the problem. Overall, this is a super nice table. It makes the setup of repeated operations really easy. ... show more

  • Very Nice Drill Table Set-Up -- Thick Aluminum Fence, Stop, Track & Holdowns
O'SKOOL Drill Press Table with Aluminum Fence, Flip Stop and Insert --- Super impresive drill press table. Very nice quality and well made. Honestly I've been moving into a new shop and still wrapping up the inside, so my drill press is broken down and put out of the way. That said I opened and thoroughly checked this table out top to bottom and I more than approve. See my attached pictures and the obvious quality can be seen. The anodized aluminum fence, table track and hold downs are impressively heavy duty thick pieces with smooth high quality finishes. The bottom even has a clamp system to make mounting to various shaped drill tables easy reguardless of size and shape due to the adjustablilty. Has a nice melamine surface with edges capped and finished out too. Also nice to have the replacable insert system as you can easily replace as often as needed or make different drill plates for various applications. And last but not least the swing down stop system is also a solid heavy aluminum piece and not cheap plastic I've seen some tables cut corners with. For what its worth I've gotten a hand full of O'Skool items now that's all been good stuff. In particular I've got their woodworking vise with quick release / quick to close.. if needing one its worth checking out. Very nice set-up. Was really glad to come across this as It's something I still haven't invested in or taken the time to build myself. Just been making do with clamps and blocks ...this will be awesome going in to the new shop. Easy 5-Stars.. maybe 6. ... show more
