Description

The renowned reliability and versatility of the Stradic series continues with the all-new Stradic FM, the latest addition to Shimano's CoreSolid spinning reel collection. Building on technologies from Shimano's top spinning reels, the revamped Stradic FM introduces InfinityXross technology for unmatched gear durability and balance, distributing load evenly across gear teeth. This combines with Shimano's cold-forged HAGANE gearing and refined MicroModule II for an exceptional reeling experience. InfinityDrive offers smooth, powerful rotation under load, while the Duracross Drag system delivers smooth performance with enhanced durability. Shimano's X-Protect water-repellent coating and water-channeling labyrinth construction ensure long-lasting, reliable performance without added weight. The new Anti-Twist Fin, an elastic polymer on the roller's underside, improves line management for monofilament or fluorocarbon line users. The all-new Stradic FM stands as the most comprehensive Stradic, carrying on a legacy of performance.

My ‘go to’ reels.

Might be one of the top two or three ensure spinning reels I’ve ever used
Size: Gear Ratio: 5.8 | Size: 1000
I bought a static 23, 1000, I also have a 500 of a different Shimano model. Insure, saltwater for trout, reds, and flounder. This little Raul is tough as nails. I have yet to be spooled, and I have yet to have a red, trout, or flounder here on the Texas coast, that Raul, along with a good quality, medium light, action rod, not pull in. I will be buying again. Shimano outdid themselves on remodeling this new strata 23, reminds me of my Stella ... show more

Great reel, bail flip a little rough
Size: Gear Ratio: 5.8 | Size: 1000
Review Image by Andrea Mota Andrea Mota
I have been using this for trout fishing, it is smooth and well-made. Every inch of this reel is a looker, and there is zero slop, none on the handle, none when you try to back reel, and none on the drag. The bail also feels very solid and gives a nice click, I only had a sticky bail on 1/4 reels I ordered. If you are wondering if it's worth the splurge, do it! ... show more

AVOID Buying
Size: Gear Ratio: 5.8 | Size: 1000
First order my Stradic had a wobble on the spool so I requested a replacement. The second they send me a box with a reel that isn’t even a stradic inside. Avoid at all costs and get your Stradic elsewhere.
