The only thing is , I stack them on top of each other so you do occasionally see scratches and fingerprints on the plates. But I also think that has to do with the light color o got . Really like these dishes. Especially the raised border on plates and pasta bowls which prevent the kids from spilling over. I had ordered service for 16. When received a couple of bowls had got chipped in shipping. I notified the company Stone Lain on their website and they responded within 2 weeks with replacements. I love these dishes. When I placed my order I bought 2 sets to have enough for my family of 4. Then once they arrived, I realized that 2 bowls were chipped. I contacted customer service and they were wonderful as far as helping me replace my items. Customer service was supportive with keeping me updated while I was waiting on my replacement pieces. I love this set. I was a little nervous to order my dishes off of Amazon. Everything arrived in one piece no scratches and looked amazing. Exactly what I was looking for , my only wish was that it came with small “tea plates” I think they’re called. I would even buy them separate but they don’t have them. Otherwise wonderful. If you’re looking for lightweight dishes, these are not for you. They are quite heavy compared to traditional plates. But I love the aesthetic and how large they are. ... show more

*Update: I just noticed earlier today that one of the plates has a pretty good area of the black missing along one edge. This plate hasn't even been used yet. Each piece of this set was brought to the sink one by one and given a quick wash then straight into this cupboard. I'm really not happy seeing this. I took one star away but, I was very tempted to take another. It's hard to think of something as being high quality when seeing things like this. Disappointed to say the least. I haven't looked the other pieces over yet, since seeing this, but I hope I don't see any more of it. I am in love with this "Stone Lain Elica Stoneware Dinnerware Set"! Gorgeous, heavyweight stoneware dinnerware. I wasn't entirely sure what I thought about the ridged bottom before I had them but, I actually like it quite a lot. When I ordered this set I had intended for it to become a gift but, now I don't want to give it up. The flat black color on the outside really appeals to me, as does the overall style of this set. The wide, shallow bowl/dish, I believe, is intended to be a salad dish but, I think it would be perfect for the beef stew that I like to make in the Instant Pot! I got this dinnerware set for Christmas. They are great quality and have held up well in dishwasher cycles. They look nice, feel like a quality dish and they are stylish. The only negative I would say, is that because of the unique shape of the dinner plates and the soup bowls, they sit kind of awkwardly in the dishwasher rack. ... show more

The plates look very classy! We actually ordered 2 sets for a large occasion. I noticed that one of the pasta plates have a chip on the side and one of the flatter plates have a sharp thing sticking our as shown in the photo. The plates are just unboxed. I'm torn if I should be returning this or if they will replace the defected items. ... show more
