The size and shape of these 3" aluminum pans is perfect for baking individual tarts/pies. This size has been purchased previously. Unfortunately, the other brand was not as thick. Their use was wasteful as 2 pans was always needed to hold any contents. A special favorite use of these small pans is to warm leftovers in the oven after they are placed onto a larger oven safe item: they work well for small amounts of food. The edges are crimped, but smooth and even. I would have given 4 stars if the package had not arrived with some minor damage to a few of the pans. This is my second order of these mini pie pans. I was disappointed when I first saw them, as they were more shallow than I expected, but I found them perfect for many things. My 11 y o granddaughter and I made mini pies that were great single serving desserts. I froze several of them for future baking. I will buy more when needed ... show more

Just what I needed. Heavy duty. They arrived a little smashed. But not so bad that a little reshaping could help a few of them. I made pot pies. I am pleased on how everyone of them turned out. I am thinking these will work well for DIY projects. Endless possibilities. I will buy again. Great value.
