The size and shape of these 3" aluminum pans is perfect for baking individual tarts/pies. This size has been purchased previously. Unfortunately, the other brand was not as thick. Their use was wasteful as 2 pans was always needed to hold any contents. A special favorite use of these small pans is to warm leftovers in the oven after they are placed onto a larger oven safe item: they work well for small amounts of food. The edges are crimped, but smooth and even. I would have given 4 stars if the package had not arrived with some minor damage to a few of the pans. With the package containing 50 pans, the quantity left is still ample. ... show more

These pans work great for making homemade pies, but I did notice that the aluminum has gotten much thinner than it was in past years. They are not as sturdy as they were years ago, but they still do what their purpose is.

They are much more shallow than anticipated but they worked fine for what I needed. No issues using them in the oven. If you need them for mini pies or something I'd recommend finding a deeper dish.
