I like that it works at cleaning the air of odor. It is small, plugs into wall outlets, and the price is affordable. It could be more quiet but I have a quiet more expensive and bigger purifier that in my opinion doesn’t work. Considering this, the slight noise is not a big deal. I simply let it run in a room that I’m not occupying (I’m over sensitive to little things so it’s probably not bad at all). ... show more

I bought this for by a covered litter box. It was amazing. Unfortunately it stopped working in less than a year. It has a three-year warranty. I emailed Homedics on January 3 and again on January 10. It is now January 17 and I have yet to receive a response.

These are by far the best air purifiers. I bought some at Costco 5 years ago and they just quit working. They are compact and have a motion sensored light for when you get up at night. They are super quiet. I will never use any other brand, i ordered some smaller ones by a different brand and theybdid NOTHING. These are very sturdy, yet compact. Does the job, helps clean allergens out of the air. Quiet-ish. Note: the mode select button either turns the light auto-mode on or off. No option to use with light only and turn the device's air filter off while letting the light stay on automatic. The unit works okay as far as cycling the air and eliminating odors. However, the fan noise is very loud, and it doesn't automatically shut off after the 1-hour idle time (no sensor detections) as indicated in the directions. I tried both modes (auto-off and always on) and the unit did not shut off on either setting, even if I leave it undisturbed overnight. I decided to just turn it off manually and on as needed. The 3 levels of brightness on the night light are nice features. But, with manually turning on/off the unit, there's no sensor to turn the light on automatically. ... show more

I was going to send this item back. It was too big for the area I purchased it for originally and it was NOISY as all get out!!! But just before I was going to mail it back the air purifier-odor eliminator in the kitchen quit. I plugged this one in. It fit well, has a great motion detection night light, and it eliminates kitchen cooking odors in an acceptable amount of time. The noisiness of it is still off-putting but since it's in the kitchen and it's usually only on at night, it's acceptable. ... show more
