The pie-iron has a nice big face for larger sandwiches. I think this leans more towards a stovetop panini press, than a campfire type of pie iron. The handles are short because of the weight of the iron. A longer handle would be extremely difficult to hold suspended over a fire. I think this is good for making sandwiches over a stovetop, setting on a cooking grate over a smaller fire, cooking on a camping stove, but I would not recommend it for hanging over a large fire. It's nice they provide extra handles in case one breaks. Its easy to clean, and I would treat it like a cast iron pan to season it and not use harsh chemicals or abrasives to clean it. I don't think this company knows what their doing making or packaging. The box says 2 Comes with one But yet it comes with an extra stick.... And the stick is HALF as long as it should be. Real cast iron but really cheap stick.
