I have had my Brother CS6000i for 2 1/2 years. It is a nice, reliable machine. I use it so much that I thought I had run it into the ground. The machine started sewing wonky and whenever I backstitched it would make noises and tangle the thread. I tried everything I could think of. I realized, after taking the needle plate off, that whenever I backstitched the bobbin case would get displaced. I figured that because the bobbin case was mostly plastic, maybe it was worn out. My old bobbin case was falling apart, making it impossible to hold the tension correctly. The backside of my seam always looked awful. As soon as I installed this new one, it's all working great again! I'm very thankful I didn't have to spend a couple hundred dollars on a whole new sewing machine!
