The Computerized Sewing and Quilting Machine is quite a change of pace for me. I admit that I own more than half a dozen sewing machines, ranging from the 1960s through the present day, and every one of them, aside from my embroidery‑only machine, has been fully manual. This model is far more versatile than the straight‑stitch and zigzag machines I’ve relied on for decades, and it fills a useful space between my full embroidery machine and my older mechanical models. This machine offers 300 stitches, decorative borders, and a range of features that simply aren’t possible on my regular machines. The LCD screen and stitch options will take me some time to get used to, especially since my aqua‑green vintage machine has exactly one dial on the front, but the layout is clear enough that I can work through the learning curve. While it can be used pedal‑free, that feels a bit like driving a car with your legs crossed, so I was relieved that a pedal was included. The machine is relatively lightweight once out of the box, which makes it easy to move around, but it is still a full‑sized sewing machine and not one of those toy‑like models that some companies try to pass off as real equipment. The motor runs smoothly and the stitches look even so far. I would not personally consider this a beginner’s machine due to the number of settings and options, but I am looking forward to exploring everything it can do. It’s a solid intermediary step for someone who wants more than a basic mechanical machine without jumping straight into a full embroidery system.
