If you order this setup for an older Ram truck (mine is an ‘06 3500 with the basic stereo) the factory radio harness does not totally match up to the supplied harness in the kit. The Ram battery power/memory power wire is available, but keyed power is not in the factory connection. The factory radio is switched via the CAN BUS connection which is not supported by this kit. After some tinkering, I ran the red wire on the GX 3800 side down to the driver’s side cigarette lighter with about 12” of extra 16 gauge wire for extra wiggle room and spliced into its keyed power supply (pink wire). The yellow wire and the ground wire on the “A” connector can be hooked up to their respective partners, but the orange, blue & brown wires had no pins to connect to in the factory harness, so they don’t need to be hooked up. When cutting the dash panel and using the template they provide, make sure to cut well inside of the edge of the template. I used a pneumatic die grinder & cutoff wheel and a side cutter pliers to trim the corners. The plastic melts a bit, but cleans up fairly easily. The new dash trim piece is a bit loose because I cut the opening a bit too large, but it should be fine. The new trim still snapped onto the dash panel and holds on. The radio functionality seems great. Realistically, it wasn’t that hard to install, but Chrysler likes to make things more complicated than they need to be. Wiring instructions aren’t great for this specific vehicle (‘06 Ram 3500) but overall a decent kit. Fit and finish look good and I rushed some of it. It’s my work truck so appearance wasn’t my top concern. EDIT: It’s been in the truck a couple years now I think. In typical Chrysler fashion, any aftermarket electronics cause issues. My 3rd speed on the blower motor doesn’t function, just stays on 2nd speed. My blinkers erratically speed up like a bulb is burnt out. Both problems have been a result of the radio installation. Worked for a moment and then just stopped working..it was easy to install and everything just the quality wasn't completely there ended up having to go with a name brand stereo. It did fit and looked good just not worth the money spent on it.

Alright, so here's the deal. It is a really good looking radio. The picture I included was the finale of my project. But I've also included what it would look like, if I hadn't bought a new bezel to go with it. Also the 2007 dodge ram 1500 doesn't have an ignition wire for the factory radio. That wire is hooked up to the CAN bus. HOWEVER, there are a few unused cables near the radio, I dislodged the pin for the ignition cable, separating it from the wire harness, and plugged the pin into one of those plugs that had a PINK wire, as that was an ignition wire.
